So I decided I wanted to try refinishing my polished CG that was on my 000 logo since I wanted to get a new one anyways. So i took a VERY VERY fine nail file(yeah i know) And went over each side in one direction until it actually looked fairly good. I looked down.... Wow, I was surprised. Looks GREAT IMHO(Especially for not knowing what I was doing)!
I then noticed the pin was round(standart pin) So I pushed it out a bit and used the same nail file and filed it down to a nice semi flat surface(Looks so much better IMHO).
Before(pin looks like a pimple on the cg):
After refinishing CG and pin!:
After a bit more grinding of the pin:

Here is an interesting concept for you. Why not make a line of your own buckles featuring sports teams like football, soccer, baseball, etc.... This I believe would be a fast seller. I designed my own buckle once but never was able to have it machined. I am a bit of a trekkie and designed it to go with the theme of the show.

Ball of duct tape(sticky side out) will get the case back off.

Love the 029B, Just sechs!

The ONLY watch I will be wearing for a bit. Love it! Rep Panerai 000 Logo with OEM Gator
-
Why strip it though? This is very confusing to me...
-
Bout al they've had were Rolex, Movado and RW. No Panerai or anything else really. They had 1 Breitling Colt at one time but I believe it went for right at $1,200

Jeweler and Rolex authorized distributor.
Currently in Bankruptcy though I think.
Man SG if only you lived in my area. There are auctions here once a month.... I've been to 3 this year and have seen 100's of Rolex watches go for less than $1,000 and most of them new. Alot of them were presidents too. They are GUARANTEED authentic and come with all paperework/boxes/accessories they originally came with. Cool deal I think. It's my secret spot but would take ya with me.

If anyone has any thoughts or wants to inquire just PM me. No This not a FS ad.

I will however put it in the FS section in the coming days, unless of course you want to PM me now...

I believe my wrist is 6.75 and there are still 5 free holes to use. Hope that gives you a general idea.
-
Yes, it has a reddish tint to it. This actually game off a GEN PAM 187 I was told.... It is a bit large for my wrist, not sure the exact measurements though. Would rather not trade unless it's for something I REALLY like.

This is it
-
May end up selling it as the orig. seller said it was 24mm when it is actually like 23 or 22mm.
-
Ok, so was $100 worth it for a GEN Panerai 24mm gator strap with no buckle?
-
What is a GEN 24mm strap going for these days in good condition?
-
nice one

What about a 000 Logo?
Just picked up this gen from ebay....

So it was listed as non working so i took a gamble and bid, and bid some more until finally it was mine. At first the seller didn't respond to my messages and the watch just showed up. I took it to my nearest AD to have it authenticated and to try and see iff a new battery would get it running again.... low and behold it started running! I was excited. This is my first gen tag but there will be more. At first I thought the formula 1 watches looked cheap and flimsy but this watch is heavy and feels great on the wrist. If I decide to get more tags I will most likely get more of the formula 1 series, probably 1 of each color! Anyways, here she is!
