As far as Shanghai is concerned, if you go back in time to 2002-2005, there is an abundance of Rolex reps at Xiang Yang Market along Xiang Yang Road. (defunct)

Since the collaborative efforts by 20+ top brands to shut down the open sales of "branded" reps, you will not find much good ones around these days.

These days, there are still "Yellow Bulls" (HUANG NU) aka Street Soliciters along streets targeted at Caucasians/Europeans/Americans, who will bring you to their undisclosed warehouses - usually 2-3 storey tall buildings where the stockpiles of reps are.

If you are looking for average reps + reps of all sorts, they are still available at a building called TAO BAO CITY (converted to mandarin: TAO BAO CHENG)

This locale is along Nanjing Road (NANJING XI LU).

I am flying to Shanghai soon and want to buy a good Rolex rep. I know a lot of people offer reps at the streets, but finding the best is rather difficult at the streetsellers. Does someone know a location to buy the best reps?

They are not. None will be 100% garanteed waterproof.

Why not go for a pre-2000 Daytona? I hear those are great

I have read a lot about the issues with almost all Daytona's with sec @ 6. I suppose this one from PT is the best the market delivers today? Is there something I must let get it done by my watchmaker with this one to get a reliable movement? Has someone any experience?

I 've bought a DSSD V3 with an updated case from a V5 (as I was told). I want the movement to be replaced by a new gen Swiss ETA. The question now, is which one is better: 2824-2 or the 2836-2? Is there a reliable source for them?

I can not imagine there are no dealers from quality reps in Shanghai.

I specifically look for the sportsmodels from Rolex. I am waiting for a WM9 V2 from Namor and a DSSD from him also. I am interested in Blue Cerachrom Sub, a Explorer II with a white dial, a SS Daytone with a white dial, or a Seadweller......

I bought a watch from PrDubis on 2009/12/31, paid via PP on the same day. PrDubis told me, he would ship on the next monday, which would have been January the 4th. Well, nothing has arrived yet and shipping from France to Germany should be much faster. I wrote two PM to PrDubis and got no reply from him (although he HAS been online in the meantime). I also realized he has a lot of watches on offer in the trade section... seems to be a dealer.

So, what's going on? Is this a scam? Any other members that have actually received a watch from him?

I am a big Rolexfan, but recently discovered I like Panerai too. I am looking for the best available rep in Europe. Any suggestions for a dealer? I really prefer the simple design of the 111.

We all know that the best Sub rep is the one from BK/WM9. And I want that really bad, but live in the Netherlands where the customs are very fond of reps..... That added with the delivery time makes that I am looking for the second best choice of best rep. Which do you suggest? Is it possible to ship to the Netherlands through the UK without customs issues? Which dealers do offer this opportunity?

I am planning to buy another Rolex. I want the Euromariner LV from Eurotimez or the SSD, and want the best quality movement. Should I buy the clone ETA or the gen ETA? Or should I buy a SWISS ETA on the Bay and build that in the watch? Or is the gen ETA from Eurotimez the same as a SWISS ETA?
