Anyways, I called the owner up on the telephone and told him my observation.
His reaction was a bit too cool. So I will drop in next week and see the Speedy is still there.
THANKS RWG FOR TEACHING ME HOW TO SPOT A REP

I just happened to be window shopping in a boutique dealer of high end watches, this dealer also sells secondhand/used high end watches, when I spotted a used Speedmaster with incorrect sub dial spacing (and the accent missing from the E in TACHYMETRE). The ask price is USD1500 ! Just to be sure, I quickly checked a nearby VERY reputable dealer and confirmed the subdials are too far apart.
Should I say something to the boutique dealer OR should I mind my own business?
What would you do?

It's as big a deal as we make it.
If some one comments on my watch then my response is, "Thanks, I really like this watch". If they want to discuss it then I tell them "I really like it but, its a not real", I don't get defensive or embarrased about it so never becomes a big deal. I have got better things to spend my hard earned on (like my kids).

I feel you are very close to the practicalities of the industry.
Being a new member I note that the people on this forum a primarily interested in modding watches for personal enjoyment, there is not much interest in trading/distributing for profit. Therefore there is not much to be gained from shutting theses forums down.

Hi all,
This might be a noob question (I am obviously new here) but, in the last few days the links in the posts have stopped working for me. All I get is "Error! The page or file you requested doesn't exist!".
This is suprising because the links were working last week.
Is this happening to anyone else?
