It's a nice watch, the only drawback is that the strap can not be changed.
Yes, it can be changed.

Doesn't look good...

"Good" is a relative term I suppose, but in my opinion it will never look good again. FYI:

Hey everyone...I am relatively new to the replica world. I was wondering if any of the dealers here sell Oris replicas. Can someone let me know if Oris replicas are out there? Thanks
I own this one, courtesy of www.silixwatch.com : (currently offline, however)

Hasn't this really gotten stupid. It's simple: Materazzi got into his head, and it was Zidane who lost it and took himself out of the game. If insults about your momma or sister causes one to do something stupid, then no American Football game would ever be completed.
EXACTLY!
In Real Sports, this is done all the time. In the NBA, subtle attempts to draw fouls is common, as is "trash talking" to incite a response which will be called as a Personal Foul.
So, basically, it is as if Materazzi said to zidane "Yo Mama so FAT, when she jump in the air she get STUCK," and zidane couldn't control himself. In my opinion, Materazzi was just playing the game. By virtue of his response, zidane has shown that he really isn't THAT much of a 'professional' after all.

iW isn't my favorite watch mag, but I end up reading it semi regularly. Is the "Gary" comic strip supposed to be funny? They seem to be without any humor or even amusing quality. I was just curious if it was just me.....
It's a stretch, but a few of them are mildly funny. I'm not sure if the author is being cautious so as to not offend the readers' sensibilities, or if he has a limited sense of humor, but........ this one is a little funny, where Gary wears the watch in the tank as it is tested for being waterproof:
And, in this one, the bearded dude has just built a Sun Dial in the blistering sun and Gary uses it to create cooling shade for the guy, while overshadowing the time:
But, all in all, this "humor" is not my cup of tea - its too "weak."
-
Case "Zidane" continues...
in English:
"Materazzi has said very hard words against my mother and my sister, more hard of whatever gesture...........
I have not thought and I have acted. Materazzi has repeated more turned those words that have touched me
But I'm not back and not excuse with Materazzi ... he didn't have the right say those things.............................
You always looks at the reaction ... punishes the reaction but not who provokes.
Without provocation there would not be the reaction."

I suspose Syd would say........."All in all it's just another brick in the wall"
Actually, those lyrics are way post-Barrett.
"Set the controls for the heart of the Sun"
I think Syd can be credited as being a founder of an important movement in music - RIP

This is where Guido springs his intricate, well-planned trap. He counters with "I would have guessed it was made in Shanghai two months ago."
And that's when it hit me. I told the guy "I'd like to show you something." He gets a little weary. "What?' I say "See that store over there? That's Tourneau." Come on in with me. I walk in, the sales associate greets me by name. The guy is starting to get a little pale. Take off my Sub and hand it to the sales guy. "Could you please explain to this gentleman that this watch is a genuine one? He looks at it for ten seconds and goes, "Of course it is, we just had it in here last week. 5512, made in the third quarter of 1961, pointed crown guards, 5xxxxxx series. 1560 movement. Beautiful watch."
BRAVO!

In my opinion, you were too polite. But I give you credit for that.
I agree.
You should have kicked him in the nuts. After all, you ARE the_man.

I would take one, but it would have to have the correct diamond in the crown onstead of the sapphire. BTW, where did you find that?
Someplace of questionable repute - ioffer or cq-out

Yuuuuckkkkkkk...............
What possessed you to think I would want such a fugly POS like this?
I wanted one victim who was the diametric opposite of this Watch - that was you.
And, I wanted one victim who would probably wear two of these at once..... you know who that was.

Thomasng? Carl/Gran?

'deltatahoe' date=Jun 21 2006, 10:02 PM' post='73360] there has been lots of discussion about the xlarge 44mm size santos 100 (including flaws such as swiss made spacing, clasp problems, strap quality, etc), but i just noticed that joshua is offering the medium 38mm size santos 100 with the correct swiss made spacing and a new clasp.
i have somewhat smaller wrists, and i'm thinking the 38mm size might actually lend itself to being a dressier watch than the 44mm size.
I was curious about that so I asked. Josh told me that the 38mm was mislabeled and should read "42mm" although I see it hasn't been changed yet.

Yes, But look at all these posts.
There is so much clutter in the avatar blocks now.........
<--------------------------
there is a huge gap below all your signatures.
I say sig should be no bigger than avatar block, then it takes up no more room than no sig at all.
I'm surprised that no one has nailed you with this anal [censored], overboosted - your sig is so wide, it necessitates a horizontal scroll bar! Personally, I don't care unless you've got a page-long advertisement for a strap maker in your sig - that's too much!

You can see it that way but again, in this case you do get what you pay for. What would be shameful is being called out on an ovious $100 fake. Wouldn't getting a cheap replica that looks sub-par to the gen be defeating the purpose of getting a rep?? All I'm saying is if you're going to get a rep make it a good one, which in this case is far from that
No, what I'm saying is the Corum Casino Gen is not all that. It is interesting and it is novel, enough so to warrant a Rep being made of it.
NO ONE is going to "call me out" on it, except for you, maybe, and the six other people who bought the Gen. The rest of the community of watch enthusiasts will not notice the flaws in the Rep.
As for "defeating the purpose of getting a rep," MY purpose is not to fool other people into thinking the watches I am wearing are genuine. My 'purpose' is to amuse myself with watches I can wear and enjoy - end of story.
I DARE you to buy one of these "cheap fakes." You might find yourself regretting buying your Gen!
PS - No, thomasng, I don't think your nuts at all. But you're talking about purchasing Fillet Mignon when the Casino is hamburger!
