  1. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they have a defective clutch, just saying that the strain adds to the problem. Also when you are screwing in the crown the winding gear turns the hatched wheel and this is a problem for the SW200. Just read the Sellita service manuals. They admit the SW200 hatched wheel was badly designed, fragile and prone to damage (well since the Sellita is a clone of the ETA 2824-2, just like the Asians, bad designed parts are not a surprise). They have redesigned it with the SW200-1 and you can in fact make your SW200 into a SW200-1 if you replace a bunch of gears. So you can see why the SW200 rejects will be cheaply available for the rep factories. The Invicta forums have tons of threads with folks complaining about their SW200 crapping out. This is not a newly discovered issue.
  2. and I don't believe this top10brand is a dealer here.
  3. Folks, for those of you jumping on the bandwagon of the Swiss movement because you think it's better be careful. The SW200 has a know problem: tooth stripping on the hatchet wheel. This is specially bad with models that have a screw in crown since you will be in fact winding the watch as you screw the crown. If the main spring is fully wound then you really have a problem. Sellita has provided a fix with the SW200-1 so you see a flood of SW200 in reps now. So think twice to pay a premium for a movement that will spread gear teeth all over your jewels. Sellita has redesigned the wheel (sw200-1) but fixing the sw200 requires replacing a number of parts. http://forums.watchuseek.com/f6/need-replace-ratchet-wheel-sellita-sw200-movement-will-any-2824-type-ratchet-wheel-work-541495.html
  4. this is one of the best models out there. You won't regret it.
  5. I agree, the guy seems more like a guy that resent others and has no clue about watches. I stopped reading after the first page.
  6. Interesting, I'm not familiar with this high end brand called Bruget.
  7. for you DIY guys out there, if you decide to get this model (I'll wait for V2), here's a great tutorial from Sander to fix the CP.
  8. btw, I was just checking the gen and the dial is also ceramic, like the bezel. I doubt we will see that ever on a rep.
  9. El parts are hard to find. I bought it from a friend but I don't know where he got it from.
  10. if there are no trademark (brand names, patented items, etc.) you really can't prevent it.
  11. the problem is the alignment of the lug holes and the bracelet. Unfortunately it's a try and error because if you widen the bracelet bar holes it will become loose and look weird. I was very lucky.
  12. the mid links are polished, the other are brushed. This is an old El bracelet. I have had trouble getting the new rep bracelets to fit the auto cases.
  13. I have from good source the N-factory version is coming soon cheaper and better. Well any replication will be better than this monstrosity.
  14. same thing mate. It's the Chinese version of the ETA7750.
  15. what a POS!! I had high hopes for it but it's clear they can't get this one right. Maybe if another factory takes a shot at it but this "upgraded" one is dead to me.
  16. when he asked for cash payment that's against eBay rules. If you forward that email to eBay the seller most likely will be suspended. You are in the clear. Apparently the seller is not 100% sure about the watch authenticity (hence the low price), wants your cash (non traceable or recoverable) and won't provide better proof, run as fast as you can. Nothing good will come out of it. It's even worse that he's trying hard to convince you to buy even after all of this. If the deal was legit he would be able to sell it for more money in a heartbeat.
  17. Crystals will do by the end of Jan beginning of Feb. Price will be as before $70 plus shipping and fees. Specs will be the same as before, thickness and AR. AR is double Swiss standard with mostly colorless with light blue hue per gen.
  18. I got a warming (using Chrome on Mac) that the site had malware so I bolted as fast as I could.
  19. OP: How do you smell? with my nose
  20. I hope you're talking about the girls and not the bathing suits they are wearing
  21. yes, but in this case that's an authentic Panerai OP XI which is correct for the 111H. Better now?
  22. rubber is for when I'm planning to get all sweaty and out of breath, like hiking in the summer
