strange, if the crystal is oversized I'd expect not to fit in the case. How would glue it in help? I'm curious on how he was able to break the crystal in the first place but I'd look for a better replacement. Unfortunately OEM crystals won't fit the SSD.

The new Porsche diver IS the KonTiki with a few modifications. Eterna was bought by Porsche and then sold to a Chinese company. http://www.watchtime.com/2011/06/porsche-sells-eterna-to-international-volant-limited-of-china/ Eterna has a long history, including creating ETA. The KonTiki is a really nice watch. I agree with Porsche name doesn't add anything to it but it doesn't take away from the innovative design either.

Unless the card is not filled, like it's the case here. ADs told me to only fill them after you need to send them for service for the first time, put 6 mo back as the purchase date to make it believable you have been wearing it.

yes, you could fill out the card with your case number but I'd still verify with the seller why the discrepancy. I'm not sure if you need to send a copy of the Chronometer Certificate (I always send copy of all 3 cards) but you don't need a receipt. My dealer told me you could claim it was a gift but the service center never asked me for it. The bezel swap would not be made by the service center. This would change the model number (not serial only) and all your cards would be invalid. Many owners do the swap AFTER warranty is over.

The watch is gen, at least the dial, bezel, hands, caseback, bracelet, crystal, DW - it would a very expensive franken and nobody would bother. I would NOT open the watch just to check the movement. It would void whatever warranty you might have and it would also compromise water resistance. The case number should match the warranty card (mine does). Since the card is not dated you would have 3 years of warranty but I think you will have issues with the service center. I'd contact the seller and work this out.

well I have never bought anything from Concepta much less having "a watch on the way". However I fail to see the value of these kinds of threads. As to your point, as far as I can see the link you've posted states that Concepta was building a few franken watches and told folks to PM here if there was interest. Is that a sales thread? maybe, would it make any difference if it was posted on the "watches" area? no. If I start posting a bunch of frankens on the PAM area, I'm sure someone will be PMing me asking to buy it or any other info. So based on your complaint here I should not be posting those then. Sander has done some fabulous AP frankens and he post them (with a lot of good instructions) in other subforums. Lots of people PM here to try and get one. So he should stop posting too. Is that what you are looking for? The rules (AFAIK) are here to protect the membership. If this was a new member that wasn't approved to sell these high value items using a sub forum to lure unsuspecting member to buy junk, I'd be in 100% agreement with you. The way I see it these threads are created for some personal reason, not really to protect anybody.

I'm getting a little tired of these threads (and for some reason there are many) complaining about Concepta posting the handful of OEM parts he has available like it was a BAD thing. Most folks wait for a long time to get those announcements. To compare this with rep dealers is somewhat misleading. Rep dealers sell REPs in LARGE volumes and they in general are not forum contributors. Concepta is a platinum member hence he DOES PAY to post at RWG. He has the same right as MANY others to post stuff for sale. Would it make any difference if he moved his posts to the Watches area??? Folks that look for Concepta stuff come to the IWC forum. It's just more convenient If you want to help, go find those parts and offer them here. I'm still trying to understand the different agendas behind these posts.

if you're not planning to use QED to improve the lume in our reps (like trapping photons in lower quantum states while in sun light and discharging them in the shade), I'd say this information is not very relevant
