  1. I've had one (white face) for years. Very accurate and reliable. I'd wait for then end of CNY. My package is just sitting there waiting to be moved to customs. No use.
  2. Interesting watch. Very solid.
  3. all I can think about this thread is "WTF"
  4. Sure, I'm actually getting the V1 as well to transplant a few parts.
  5. I understand the Lello overlay is a must (I have the high res that I plan to make an overlay) but the bevel of the DW bothers me. Is there a successful mod to fix that? Gen Rep
  6. This may help a little. Tutorial
  7. Folks, I have been hearing all kinds of discussions about the new 111J crown and I want to put some of that to rest. I have a gen crown for the round crown tube and it's spot on. The main difference is finish. The 111J crown is a little dull but nothing a good dremel polishing can't fix. Here's the side by side. Guess which one is the gen.
  8. strange. Not even water proof against moisture
  9. I doubt any of the dealers are checking anything right now. I have stuff coming as well and I'm expecting radio silence for a week or so.
  10. It's a great watch and rep. Regarding the clasp there's a simple mod you can do to replace the spring so it won't slip. I'll try to find it.
  11. the large keyboard makes it even easier than the iphone or BB
  12. I can type as fast on the iPad. Not a problem.
  13. Plenty of good 104 reps out there.
  14. 2 important things: 1) Patience removing the background. Make sure you take your time removing all of it but not more. I use all kinds of tools for that (magic wand, polygonal selection, color match selection, etc.) 2) Make sure you use the "blur tool" to smooth the edges of the foreground cut outs. In regular photos there's an alias that happens and blends the colors. I use a brush size that's not too big or small for the selection. I usually zoom in and work the details. Make sure you select "use all layers". If you look at this picture you will see the blur used background colors, make it more natural.
