  1. I'm very skeptical on the 111. better crown and CG maybe. better dial very likely, better movement keep dreaming, better case not so sure.
  2. like all of us, we are waiting for them to go thru their manufacturing process. All I've heard is that it's coming maybe before the end of the year. No other details have been released AFIK.
  3. Here you go buddy I've never heard of the o-ring cracking but as a safe guard I keep all of them well greased. As for replacement parts, your dealer is your best friend.
  4. I'm just looking for evidence that big watches are out or heading that way. I don't expect Rolex to create anything on a size that I would actually wear (maybe the 40mm SD) but I don't see the rest of the market following Rolex either.
  5. I respect the Rolex lovers but sorry, this "big watches are going or gone" is more wishful thinking than reality. Every time this subject comes up someone claims the market will be back to the 80's with 30 something being the standard. Sorry to say but I see no hard facts on that. Out of the 19 flagship watches presented at SIHH this year the average size was 41mm with only 5 out of 19 manufacturers choosing to present watches smaller than 40mm. The largest ones were Richard Mille 47mm and IWC 46mm. Why would the big watch houses be promoting those large beasts if the market was changing? Rolex is just happy to be a popular/recognizable brand that's comfortable where they are. More a statement of "we don't need to change" than anything to do with the rest of the market.
  6. I'm wondering if those croc HKTan straps are still available. Any pointers?
  7. Although I agree the Rolex size is a classic unlikely to change I respectfully disagree with your market statement. If you look at the SIHH 2010 large watches are here to stay. I keep hearing that the trend is back to small but I haven't seen any proof of that anywhere. To answer the OP I wish Rolex would release a SD type with a 42-44mm case. I also agree the DSSD has a tiny dial for such a beast. I don't get why would Rolex release something so thick with everything else tiny (dial, bracelet, clasp).
  8. the dials are still listed for sale at ofrei. So are they sold out?
  9. that's the safari model #26020ST.OO.D091CR.01 http://www.gemnation.com/watches/Aud...R.01-4998.html
  10. yep. The second run AR was not done correctly and it's weak. It should be colorless and strong. The manufacturer made a mistake and I'll post details on the fix soon.
  11. Those are great specially with small chrono hands and big sec hand on 7750.
  12. Folks, the manufacturer screwed up the AR this time. My sincere apologies for this but unfortunately out of my control. I'm dealing with a very respected firm and I had no reason to believe they would mess up like that. I'm working out a deal with them to fix this. Most likely it will involve replacing the crystal you have. In case you have already redone the AR I will discuss individually how to fix this for you.
  13. you need to compare quality vs quantity. I see no point in having tons of threads without meaningful information/discussion. Take the time to look around and enjoy.
  14. with a fall, it can be many things. So you tried manually wind it and it worked for a while which means it's probably something to do with power reserve but without servicing it will be impossible to tell. I'm not sure how much a ST25 would cost but you probably will need someone to replace it for you. In terms of cost it may be worth to ask someone to take a look for you.
  15. the PR indicator is a simple fix. When was the last time it worked? How did it stop?
  16. I wonder if we can merge the Veyron with the rep rubber to make a gummy.
  17. first, what's wrong with it? When you say it's broken what do you mean? It could be a simple fix depending on the problem.
  18. so you have been busy testing it On a serious note: cool that Omega was interested as a museum piece. Nice find.
  19. really hard to pick one of your favorite kids. This one has some history as it took a long time to get the parts, the mods, etc.
  20. I find it amusing all that drama for one watch. Btw the original owner got a 194 AND a 202 for it. Who would do a trade like that for what's simple 6497 model? I really don't get it.
