  1. you bank will have a fraud system that flags such purchases. You had a transaction declined for $303.00. Then a little time after a similar charge (same value now via PP). The fraud system will relate both. Call your bank and ask them to release the transaction. There's probably a flag on your account and 2 charges of the same value is a suspicious pattern.
  2. what a beauty!! does the internal bezel rotate?
  3. Very nice. I think I will need a lathe one day. I have the opposite problem. I have a dial that's a hair too big for the case. Is there an easy way to mill the rehaut to shave off a little bit? If there's a way to do that with a dremel it would be perfect for me
  4. Sorry, should have expressed myself better. I should have said plate holding the jewel. A jewel with a notch wouldn't do much good to the wheel, would it?
  5. Unless you have used PP before with payments to China, you might have the same issue if you are using the same CC. Paypal will send the charge to your CC and if the amount trigger a fraud flag you may get a decline again. Call your CC company and warn them. ah, I forgot. I think you need to be VIP to do that. Send a PM to a moderator and ask them to do it for you. As a VIP you would find an "edit" button bellow your post.
  6. Look at the balance wheel assembly. There are 3 types you will find: a straight notch (Asian), a solid disk (Swiss) and the T shaped incabloc (used in the gens like mine below). Sometimes the dealers replace a busted balance wheel from the Swiss movements with a cheap Asian one. So in their minds they are selling you a second hand Swiss with replacement parts. Dirty trick in my book. That movement looks straight Asian though.
  7. iirk, you're right. Very low quality work there.
  8. The master has spoken Here's the right movement style for the 036
  9. First, I would immediately remove all those order number, merchant numbers, etc from your post. Just click edit and delete the numbers. They don't help anyone and might expose you. Second, this happens sometimes. Some credit card companies decline transactions that seems suspicious to them (automatic systems). The trigger may be the merchant or the amount. If you call you credit card company and let them know the transaction is valid they may be able to set up your account so the next time the transaction goes thru. Just put the order again and ask the cc company to approve it. Don't worry, you card hasn't been charged and they don't really care where you spend your money. Edit: Like Gran suggested, check your Puretime account and/or send an email to Angus to see what to do next. He did not receive payment so it's unlikely your order will be fulfilled.
  10. The Swiss movement doesn't have that notch on the jewel. It's suppose to be a solid disk. Sometimes those dealers mix and match parts but from that pictures it sure looks Asian to me.
  11. Asian for sure, at least the balance wheel assembly is.
  12. My relumed and serviced AP Black Themes on APBands hornback
  13. For some reason that screw is always harder to set than the others. I'm going to put the alligator with black stitches this weekend and try to get some oil in there.
  14. The hornback from APBands really complements the ROO.
  15. The 2 best features of the Ploprof will probably not be well replicated: bi-directional bezel with lock and the unique crown system. I'm curious to see what's coming.
  16. A little photobucket reorg. Pics are back
  17. Thanks for the words folks. That part of the collection has 1 gen, 3 frankens and 4 Vac lume. Not mutually exclusive though @deniz21, based on the list above, guess I haven't shown the bottom drawer of my watch box and the other 2 smaller ones plus some other franken/custom project on the way (included a pre-v with The Zigmeister!!!). I'll post more when I have them finished. @Utheman On the GIF I can do each watch individually. The max resolution for the whole thing is 5184x3456 with an aperture of f/9.5 ISO 100 so all of them should be in focus with low noise.
  18. I'll try to take some pictures of the 2 kits and the case construction if I ever figure out which is which
  19. ahhhh Mine is not a piece of cake but manageable.
  20. with the lotto numbers I hope
  21. Wouldn't the crown be too far from the case with the adapter?
