  1. I dunno, if I renew when I get a reminder. I upgraded...
  2. The new look is interesting but I also am getting the following message: Your message box is full. You will not be able to receive new messages until you delete some.
  3. Dunno 'bout that pickled crap but I seem to remember, from my youth, that smoked Herring was kinda tasty...
  4. Automatico - 28.5? This last batch of cases I have might take one of these. When I first started modding these cases the "dial seat" was about 28.25mm and a gen movement probably wouldn't fit. The later cases (past year maybe?) have a dial seat of a little over 29mm so the gen movement might fit. I really don't know as I've never had a gen movement to play with...
  5. What is the OD of the 1570? I just "installed" a new Yuki rivet on a recent built and the endlinks were very flimsy and didn't fit for $hit - the clasp was also horrendous... I personally wouldn't want to carve up a gen case...
  6. Logged in several times with no problems with Chrome. I remember this issue being discussed a while back and I had no problems then either.
  7. M, what you been up to, Bro?
  8. Hey, M, the 1016 master himself! Really strange that all of the Space-Dwellers I've built for people have had matte dials and white markings. I do seem to remember that the ingod was white with "SPACE-DWELLER" in a silverish color...
  9. Question for the collective: Was there ever a gloss/gilt Space-Dweller?
  10. In the early 70s I was making $5.25/hr and could still easily find 57 Chevies cheap and Ford T-Birds that needed some TLC for a Grand...
  11. I ordered a couple of 40mm DJ cases to play around with and they come with a pretty interesting spacer...
  12. Tryin' to stay busy, but not TOO busy! Been through the kid thing, and car thing and now started on motorcycle and gun thing! Not enough hours in the day...
  13. Ebhry - Yeah, long time no see! Glad you are still kicking!
  14. You need to yank that clock-gear Muncie out and stuff in a Super T-10!
  15. All of the rep bracelets I've dealt with have 5 removable links. I doubt the Startime bracelet has "fake screws", never seen any but I suppose it's always possible with things Chinese. I have, however, seen a lot of screws that were cross-threaded and sometimes required a drill to remove. Maybe soak them in something like Aero-Kroil and they might loosen up a bit... Have you asked Startime about this?
  16. That would be about the right size dial for a mid-size case if you didn't want to "waste" the dial...
  17. If anybody wants to order any of these, PM me.
  18. Vintage Sub dials are around 26mm so that might be a possibility...
  19. Is the stem too "high" (toward the dial) in the tube or too low? If too high, try a 2836 and see if the stem lines up. If too low remove the dial spacer, date wheel guts, and stick dial directly to movement and see if it lines up... Sometimes ya gotta get creative and "sneaky." My cases require a 28mm - 29mm dial. Gen size is right at 28mm.
  20. I got a reply back from my parts guy and he said he could still get the non-COSC "Maxi" dials. I may get a couple and try to swap markers. You can usually poke the markers out from the back pretty easy...
  21. It's a shame I can't get those dials anymore. The last batch I got had "maxi" markers, looked good but not sure if there was a non-COSC dial with those markers in the wild or not. If so I might be able to get some of those...
  22. OK, Freddy, just for you. Partial collection and a few select cuts... The AK I built from a surplus Polish "parts kit" and the AR I built on a Tactical Machining 80% lower, Mag-Pul stock, and a Stoner top end.
