After looking at LH's bezel sketch (best guess) it's obvious that a bezel like that will make the watch seem bigger than a 36mm and wear larger as well. I'm looking forward to receiving the case and makin' chips!
Stilty, it might be that the misalignment might have been "OK" with management as the Tudor, after all, is part of their "budget" line! I guess that's why I have really started liking Tudors in general...
I have bought a couple of watches from him. You order and he usually e-mails you PayPal instructions, at least he used to. He dropped off the map for a few months and is apparently back but I have not bought anything from him since he re-surfaced...
I don't think I'd ever try that! Very good first attempt, you'll be a pro in no time! Go down to the hobby shop and buy a can of Testors "Dull Kote". It's a flat clear that's used on military models after decal application since decals need to go over a smooth glossy surface and tanks ain't s'posed to be shiny!
All of the rep bands that I have "access" to, although very good build quality, come with end-links stamped 455B no matter if for riveted, Oyster, Jubilee, Tudor, Rolex, etc.
The old Tudor dial's markers have a little indentation cut into them for the lume dot to butt against so the lume is actually touching the marker... I would post a close up but y'all would laugh at my lack of "lume skills".
T, nice! Another thing that I've noticed, at least on my rep Datejust, is that it seems the "light" reflects back onto the top of the marker and instead of a dot it looks like a lit "rectangle". It's got to be the shape and angle of the actual marker, I think, as I put new "lume dots" on my Vintage Tudor dial in the same spots as the original dead stuff and all I see is "dots" at night as the markers have a different shape.
