  1. I just today received some rep jewelry from Watcheden, and was planning on doing a review on it anyway. Having an unhealthy amount of jewelry myself, I feel pretty good giving an accurate review, at least. I got a couple pairs of Tiffany earrings, a Links of London bracelet, and a Cartier bracelet. I would have to say, for the price, it I was quite pleased. I stay away from anything other than silver, as the gold plating never looks real in jewelry. Having several pieces of gen Tiffany jewelry can say it was exactly spot on, but pretty darn close. I can
  2. An actual lady chiming in here I too have been on the search for good ladies reps to create a collection. I've done quite a bit a searching on the forum for good reviews on accurate ladies reps, it seems that there are several that recommend the Rolex datejust, the Chanel J12, and some of the Cartier models. Right now, I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of a mid-sized ss datejust from Josh, and a Cartier from Ruby. When I get them, I'll do a review and try to take some good photos. I
  3. Thanks to both of you for your thoughtful resposes! It will help in narrowing down my decisions. More than anything I was wanted to learn more about the 2671-2, Just to know what the difference was. Freddy333- that is almost the exact watch that I was thinking about getting. I'm only debating between Roman vs. the stick markers. Something about the silver dial with stainless steel just appeals to me so much-it looks so tasteful and timeless. I wouldn't get all that other flashy stuff even if I could afford it in the gen
  4. Just wanted to say hello to everyone, and more importantly, a big thank-you!! This place is amazing! A friend of mine who is into reps gave me a link to this place, as I was admiring some of his reps, and decided I'd like to start a collection of my own I've spent the last few days reading and learning as much as I can, and I just have to say I'm so appreciative of the wealth of knowledge collected here! I've never known a lot about reps or gens for that matter, but the more I read the more interested I've become. It will take some time for me to keep all the movements and technical terms straight in my head, but I really want to learn! So far, I hate to admit, but I already made a purchase (somewhat of an impulse buy). I bought the Ballon Bleu de Cartier-Mid Size with the Asian 21J from Ruby (I'm hoping it fits though, as I only have a 5 1/2 inch wrist). I've always loved the look of that watch, but couldn't/wouldn't ever afford the gen, and to be honest, I had no idea there were such extensive options in the rep world. I did read some good things about Ruby in the review section (though nothing too recent??) so I hope my fist purchase will turn out ok. And now the waiting game begins and I am trying to be ever so patient! I'm planning another order both for me and maybe one for my husband (who also knows nothing about watches), but I want to take my time, and do more research before I make the next purchase. So far the contenders are the Frank Muller Ladies Conquistador with the Swiss Eta 2671-2 and the pink dial or the Rolex Masterpice Mid with the Swiss Eta 2671-2, smooth bezel, and grey dial. I'd like to also get a larger, more masculine watch for myself, but that is so out of my circle of knowledge, it will take more time for me to research those So, sorry for this really long first post! Usually I'm kind of shy on forums, and end up being more of a "lurker" than anything else. I just though it proper to introduce myself, and more importantly to let all know that the information provided here is much appreciated!
