Just read this sad news. I regard it as an honour to class Bob as a cyber friend for many years. We corresponded over the last 15 years or so and it was always a pleasure to hear from him. I will miss him. Love to his family.
RIP 'Nook!

Sorry to hear that PC. I'm toying with the idea of a rep MB pen but no idea who to trust. Any suggestions?

They should fine the local taxi drivers for their fares. When I went to Sardinia the taxi from the airport to the hotel was more expensive than my flight from London to Sardinia!

Wonderful. Just wonderful.

Thanks for that Mike, watched the whole video. The man comes from the northwest of England so he's definitely worth listening to 😉

Navitimer.. Disgusting 💩almost as bad as a Richard Mille.....Ugh - don't get me started
(IMHO of course and as we know, opinions are like [censored] holes, everybody's got one and it's usually full of pooh 😂)

I remember looking at an early iPad in an airport shop with a tecchy mate of mine. He was all excited and I took one look at it and thought it would flop too. Hey ho there you go.

A member here called polexpete used to make a great open 6&9 silver dwo. He sold them on eBay. That was a long time ago but he may still be able to supply one. Perhaps give him a PM?

Yup. Sure is 👍

The 427 Cobra, is it the prettiest car ever built?
Maybe, along with the GT40 and the E Type perhaps. Back in the day we Brits could design a damn pretty car. 😚

Unfortunately Goodwood has become a money spinning circus and is much more about ticket sales, family entertainment and supposedly comical re-enactments than about cars. Nothing wrong with family events - don't get me wrong but the emphasis has shifted too far away from what it is supposed to be. IMHO.
I only hope Le Mans Classic does not go the same way but I fear it will.

Yo 'Nook. Could the Exxon Valdez hook up with my XJS and run an umbilical to my petrol tank?

That opera singer gf of mine said that Bach was the greatest composer of all time. Guess she was right.

Pugwash's posts used to make me laugh. A lot. Damn good photographer as well. Wonder if he's still walking the planet?

Anybody remember Pugwash?

The fact that it looks like a boring family saloon but goes like stink! That's fun. But as I said - each to his own.

Nice car list. I quite like the Beirut Taxi image - but each to his own.

Glad you're keeping the 124 flag flying too.
I had a thought the other day - is the 124 the greatest model range of cars ever? You've got estate, saloon, coupe and convertible all under the same umberella. Styling is obviously a subjective matter but its certainly passed the longevity/reliability test (in distance travelled mine has now driven from earth to the moon) engine variants from 2.3 four pot to 5 litre V8 what more could you want?!

I love classic cars. My big disappointment at the moment is the postponement of Le Mans Classic. I had tickets, travel and accommodation all booked. Thankfully most organisations agreed to a refund or re-booking for the following year at no extra charge. I say most because there was one glaring exception - Eurotunnel, who refuse to assist in any way. No you can't have a refund, no you can't change the dates. Yes you can f*** off and we'll keep your money. Thankyou very much. So much for the 'we're all in this together - we must pull together' philosophy.
Anyway moan over...
Here's a photo of the daily driver followed by the weekend fun:
