Captain Pugwash is in da house!!!!! Good to hear from you at long last. Glad to hear all is well. Don't be such a stranger in future. We need a bit of dry wit around here sometimes. 'Nook and I can't hold the fort all on our own!
Ah.. Interesting theory. So, the wench, when facing the inevitable march of time can turn into a beeatch. Rather like an over ripe fruit which inevitably turns rotten? And this metamorphosis takes place around the 28-30 vintage? Most enligtening, I will indeed make note of this and be vigilant in my dealings with the 'fair' sex, especially those of the stated vintage. Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase 'on the turn'.
A wench is a fine and honourable thing. A [censored] however is, well, a [censored]. Me no likey. I beg to differ but a wench cannot (by definition) be a [censored] as bitchness (as opposed to [censored]-y-ness) plays no part in wenchdom. You get my drift? Or am I jst too far into this bottle of Sauvignon Blanc to make any sense at all?
I think you need to tread carefully but fwiw I had an EE case which had an Asian 77XX mvmnt and it was removed and a V72 fitted. I don't know how much work was involved but I was not charged for machining or anything like that. I think it popped straight in!
..... 'wenches'..... great word. Sadly consigned to the annals of history. Great to see it unearthed in this thread. Made me chortle. Sorry, I digress. Back to the subject matter. Forums can be funny places, you pays your money and takes your choice. Me? I'm an RWG man through and through.
FWIW I am English. I have been to the USA four times. One of those times was Atlanta. I loved it. I thought it was a great city with great inhabitants. Couldn't advise you on where to live, the 'posh' areas are obvious. 'Hotlanta' holds a special place in my heart.
As a good friend here on the forum once said to me "If you looked at God's wrist, he'd be wearing a 1665". I'm not a one for religion but I can't argue with that
What a great gesture. Love the watch. I was confused about the ability of a 7750 to operate with asymmetrical pushers and I asked the question some years ago. I was told (and I have no reason to doubt it) that the areas on the outside of the movement where the start/stop/reset pushers make contact are not small specific points but more like elongated plates which means the pushers do not have to be in an exact place. Just as long as they make contact with the plate at some point along its length the functions of the watch work fine. I hope this explanation (which is from memory) makes sense and that the info I received then, is accurate. Makes sense to me, because as you know these rep daytonas which have A7750 movements can be found inside non-asymmetrical cases as well as asymmetrical ones and I find it difficult to believe that the movements are modified to function, it would cost too much n'est ce pas?
