  1. Now try this for size: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-Vintage-Rolex-Big-Crown-Submariner-Bezel-British-Military-ref-A-6538-/251206078049?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a7d0c8e61
  2. Trawling fleabay, found this. GLWS! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Super-Rare-Vintage-Factory-Original-Rolex-Cosmograph-Dial-for-6265-6263-14K-18K-/281058137438?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item41705ed55e
  3. I'm no expert on what is currently available but I'd be interested in a nice vintage 1016 dial for starters, also the datewheels, are they to be used in conjunction with the datewheel that is already on the movement (ie glued on top) or are they a straight swap for the eta supplied wheel? Either way I'd like 5 (assuming they are within my price range!) Brilliant news by the way, keep up the good work.
  4. Sorry to be slightly off topic but does anybody know if you can buy the datewheel separately? I've got an MBW 1665 with a slow beat swiss eta inside and I'm guessing that the datewheel in trusty's 1680 would be good for use in my watch. Am I correct?
  5. Well done! A Spinmaster daytona is a good thing. Wear it well and enjoy. Do your research and dust off your wallet this is an expensive path you are treading - if you get the bug, and we all get the bug, there is no escape.
  6. Not worthy of comment. - That's my comment.
  7. From the piccies the datewheel seems a little off so I'll stick my neck out and say not gen movement (I know valty probably wouldn't dirty his hands on a non-gen movement but what the hell, I'm calling it!) Gen bezel insert/pearl gen crown and tube and just for the hell of it rep dial. There you are laugh your socks off at my stupidity
  8. You've definitely come to the right place. Welcome aboard.
  9. Was just trawling fleabay and I came across this. Look at the pearl, this isn't for a 1665 or a 1680. Naughty naughty. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Rolex-Submariner-Bezel-Watch-Insert-5513-Double-Red-Sea-Dweller-/390523129014?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5aecfe0cb6
  10. Yup! Walking the kids to school in the London snow, 2nd year running - what's all this rubbish about global warming?!?
  11. I second what stevedrk says. You should check out ingod44's stuff and phong, yuki etc. The prices vary alot but overall I think the quality is rather good so pricing is going to be crucial, having said that if you can come up with good quality highly accurate reps of any of the above I think you could sell lorry loads. Good luck and I look forward to how you get on. I for one would like a decent 1665, 5513 and a 1680 - that's just for starters. Date wheels are also a very hot item. I'd buy five (at least) if you produced a flat top 3 open 6 and 9 with good alignment and fitted an eta movement.
  12. Great watch, great gesture, you lucky bu**er Nook! As always RWG rules because of the quality of its members.
  13. Nook, you have highlighted something that I have always been wondering about. I understand new tubes and threads etc and also new crowns onto those tubes, all fairly straightforward but I never understood how the new (gen) crown fits onto the rep (presumably eta) stem of the movement. Come on experts - explain please and put us out of our misery.
  14. All sounds great can't wait to see the results
  15. Don't know them but FWIW my advice is to buy from the trusted dealers featured in this forum. Why take a risk when there's no need.
  16. OK folks. Its quite simple. Allowing the general public to arm themselves on mass was a bad idea - I think all sane people would agree with that. However, the Americans (and others) have allowed this to happen. Big mistake. But, it's a mistake that can not be reversed. Silly to even contemplate it. Sorry guys but you're stuck with it. Acknowledge the stupidity of it, also acknowledge the fact that its not the fault of anybody who is now living so you don't need to feel guilty about the carnage. Just live (and die) with it, you've got no choice.
  17. Beautiful. A superb example of the repmakers art. Intelligently chosen parts skillfully assembled and worked on. I take my hat off to you
  18. @ Vlydog - do you detect a hint of Stevie Wonder in 'Sledgehammer' or is it just me?
