  1. Hi Lanikai,i have searched all sites for an Admiral's Cup 44 in gold case and bracelett (5 Micron stuff )...any help?

I have read in science journals.. (that you can Google) that it is not only the wrap in the process, but also the newer addition of alloy's that strengthen the gold wrap from scratching and wear and tear..and most importantly .. "oxidation" is curtailed with the newer alloys and "wrapping"

My rose gold UN is still going strong..

  2. Guys I'm new here....brief me up....who's WM9..?

has anyone gotten any news about the progress of WM9's Sea Dweller project. Website still not showing any replica info, pricing, or order portals. Would be nice if George would give all of us anxious pre order customers some news.

    Thanks

  3. Good talk Lanikai.......this the truth about these forums...

I was brought to my attention last night that I'll hit 10K in post.. the last time I noticed it was around 8 thousand something..

And then I had to chuckle ... I came to RWG originally to purchase 1 rep. .. I had no intention nor idea that it would grow into staying this long and furthermore making RWG a valued part of my daily routine.. more than routine actually..

I just got off the phone with 2 great friends and ole skool members that are mainstays of this community.. the Rabbi.. and the Brotha from Colorado who both saw me through so mush last year.. I always look forward to conference calls from them.. B)

One, has more projects than NASA going on at once; and the other has more knowledge of Rolex than I could gather in a lifetime.. I'm fortunate to have you guy's in my life.. as RWG is much more than Watches..

So this is where I will lay my 10k post.. it's not the post count that I am noting, that's just a number.. but the real treasure is with the friends and support that this community has given me.. forget the 10k.. but stick around and it's the people in this community, that is what this place is all about .. because this is the internet, makes it all the more unbelievable..

I hope I can contribute another 10k in the way that is RWG

Thank you all for being here..

  4. Hey Lanikai,....I have V2 ...and V5 ...and on both models the pearl has gone off....do you have answers..?

Viewing the pics without stronger lighting .. it would appear your case and bracelet is the 316f..the newer metal is a lighter shade of ss.. the 316L or what ever the metal is .... is darker by a couple of shades.. especially in the pics..

and with low filtered light the old metal would not appear as even.. and as light in it's colour..

  5. Hi, I have V2....well bought a year ago... the shine is different...as I now have V5 but the pearl has gone off on both models.....can'tunderstand why....

I received an Ultimate DSSD today. Here are some quick wristies:

One question though. How do I tell if what I have here is really the latest greatest Cartel DSSD? I thought it would be more shiny with that new steel of theirs. Can someone confirm if that's what it should be? Steel does not look to be as shiny as I expected it to be... Or maybe I am too picky :)

  6. Thanks you've been very helpful......

Welcome, sir. This one is not likely. The El Primero is not something easily replicated, and most of the Zeniths have major flaws as a result. I will say that the Defy Extreme Chrono looks good, but the Open watches are hard to do. You won't find a decent rep of this on any site, and anyone that claims they do it is either lying or news to me. It's a nice watch. Good luck, and I hope you find some news contrary to what I know about this.

  7. Well according to a member..Fersi..on RWI ....i qoute him''Well.... my V6 will be 120% like the gen and with the new chromium/uranium 314FY steel it will be shinnier too....

Do not think uranium will ever be used in watches...... But there is the new steel grade called 316F, byt there is some serious doubt that the classification is correct....

  8. You are mad as me.......by the on RWI i read that there is a new DSSD ...with new stainless steel that contains a mixture of some uranium and chromium....is this true???

Received my DSSD yesteday and thought I would just film it at some angles and stuff for you guys to see. Yes I have shaky hands, yes I did not get the diver extension open. But you will get the jist of the watch I think biggrin.gif

Enjoy! I already made a small ding in it. This thing is kinda big smile.gif ETz used the first v5.0 case and put the rest from the v5.4. Dial print is still slanted sad.gif But overall I am satisfied.

    Hi guys,

I'm relatively new here and after looking various web sites I decided to buy a watch. I selected kingwatch for a beautiful IWC Saint-Exup

  10. Sorry guys...Bentley GMT .. the new one .......

@Pete and BMike --> thanks, guys!... :drinks:

love this watch...and Pete - you're right - the uniformity of the dial is perfect...and accented subtly with the small use of red and blue...the silver hands/markers sparkle...no crystal - so it's all out there with no reflection!...

    R-

  11. A million thanks guys......

There are GMT II's in gull gold with diamonds. I am surprised I don't own one. The only rep sub in gold with diamonds that will be anywhere near accurate is the serti dial. Only diamond hour markers, but these dials are very inaccurate anyway. I would go with the GMT II diamond bezel, lugs and even dial. :thumbsupsmileyanim:
