  1. on the MBW: bezel is quite stiff (manageable to turn with 2 fingers, but firm) and bidirectional, but I like it more firm especially if it bidirectionally (what I don´t like, shouldn´t even the old bezels turn monodirectionally??) On the other hand I had to shave the crystal holding ring to fit the yuki crystal in and I must say the crystal is really nice. Got the more flat hat look. on the Yuki: bezel turns a bit lighter but also 2 finger style with a bit of force and also bidirectionally. But I don´t have the insert installed, so it might get a bit firmer with the insert in. Don´t know which I like better turning-wise. But actually I don´t like them turning at all, on the DRSD I even glued the bezel in place because I lost the spring and it isn´t a prob for me.
  2. Ok on the big screen the pearl really looks good and also the milgauss back looks like one piece , but the clasp is def. wrong...
  3. The Pearl on the insert and the crown on the clasp look mysterious... Also the back look like a two piece back, like on the DSSD. Milgauss got a one piece back... Writing on the inside of the box is also wrong IMO... Clasp should look like this:
  4. on the shocking side: when I am finished with my longterm 1680, I will turn the MBW in a 5512 (dial and crystal wise) I know I should not, but this way the MBW will still get some wristtime....
  5. Got my first MBW from Reg today and instandly did some mods on it: Drilled lugholes, gen springbars, polished, new Yuki insert (modded to fit nicely with a small gap) with new Yuki pearl, Yuki crystal (from my Yuki case which got a gen crystal, the magnification of the MBW was like 0.000000002), shaved CG. tube needs to be fitted for the gen crown which is waiting to be placed... Couldn´t have done it 4 month ago and specially with out the How-To-Section on this forum, many thanks for that guys!!! I am quite happy with the outcome as this is only my second watch to mod by myself. This was my first selfmodded watch (vintage Insert, lumejob, superdome, vintage hands, polished all tried for the first time ), but actually I am thinking of building it back to a not-so-vintage-stage... So if anyone got a GWSD dial, please PM me ;-) As I am sharing some pics allready I can also show my longterm project: Yuki case, gen springbars, gen crytal, gen bracelet ( I hope), gen crown, gen swiss ETA 2824-2 ordered from switzerland, Yuki Tudor rotor, Yuki insert and perl (got a modded WSO on on the pics as I don´t want to touch the Yuki one right now), MBW clasp, silver Datedisc overlay flat 3 open 6 and 9 and a nice spacer from stilty ;-) And one pic of the whole Gorilla-Bunch ;-) Mostly low budged, but nice to look at on the wall... I hope you enjoyed the pics... Also my first pics though ;-)
  6. some of the gen ones are a bit rounder on the end and some have like a step on the stemp.
  7. Just did, they offered to custom made me one with white lume, sounds perfect for me... They will use this lume:
  8. so the printing on the last one (with the case next to it) is fine IYO? You guys see so much more that I just don
  9. actually I don´t know if the dial with the case next to it is a MBW dial, found it on ioffer... ET is the only one how could get the MBW dials, right. I´m waiting for a watch from them since december 23rd and I would like to avoid waiting again... P.S.: by RG you mean...? sorry don´t know :-(
  10. maybe this helps: http://cgi.ebay.de/ROLEX-GMT-MASTER-GLOSSY-GILT-DIAL-REF-6542_W0QQitemZ260566486078QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3caaf90c3e comes without feet... or go big: http://cgi.ebay.de/Rolex-Dial-GMT-Deep-Silver-Ref-6542_W0QQitemZ350284411699QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item518e93f333
  11. Hi! Actually I am looking for a 5512 dial, but I would like to have a more lighter, whiter look like this one: And I am not shure about the yuki one: I allready got a Yuki 1680 and it got this yellowish triton color: I also found this dial for 110$ shipped: The MBW might be the right color, but I am not shure if it is the overall right look... So do one of you know another source for a nice light white midrange 5512 dial, or even sell one right now?
  12. Nice watch!! clean and classic....
  13. Actually it is even a 1575 (1570 is the 1575 without a date) Also I think it is a 9315 bracelet, folded (here on a 1977 1680 : http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?p=995993)...
  14. Do you get them from the Bay, 5 not so fine crowns from a german seller? got the same package, holding it next to my gen they do not look too bad. and paying 18€ for 5 crowns isn´t a bad deal at all ;-) I also bought these, if you need springbars from this time:
  15. Just got these news, bit expensiv, but niiiice:
  16. You could find pearled once on eBay. But not highquality though. Would buy one without a pearl, too... BTW: shoe goo is the best ;-)
  17. Yes if I remember right the endlink couldn't take gen springbars...
  18. I wish I would not have such a ladys wrist. those brevet ones just don
  19. You could switch the position of the hands from 10 to 12 ...
  20. Do you mean Phong or Wong, David Wong?
  21. Nice!! With a gen 1570!! how much did you pay for this beautifull movement?
