  1. And this is what I got from this scammer: I am a bit unhappy...
  2. That is exactly what I thought, I would be happy for every additional weight, but maybe you could be more precious working with Al... So it has its pros and conts..
  3. Hi! Does anyone know the crown size of a 6541 crown? Actually in this forum the question is not "does anyone know", the question is "could anyone please tell me", I guess ;-) It looks a bit like an 6mm crown... http://rolex.watchprosite.com/show-forumpost/fi-732/pi-3068986/ti-508146/s-0/

  7. Hi guys!. Collecting parts for my 1680 franken I was thinking if I might but a lot of money together to get the whole thing a gen 1570 movement. So what do you think is a normal price for an old 1570 movement? Or to be correct 1575... The other way would be a an old datejust with a 1570 movement to extract and sale the rest (Date Just Dial, Hands, Case, Bracelet, Crown, Crystal,...) here for some money, so that someone could but an ETA inside and have a nice vintage franken Date Just. Would there be a demand for such a package? Would 200 - 300
  8. It was just copy and past for me, I just wanted to share.
  9. Doing my bracelet hunt I found these two auctions: http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260551447389&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_500wt_1182 http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260551443189&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_500wt_1182 Which are quite cheap and totally wrong announced. They also don
  10. 11. I wish they would, the Pro Hunters just look awesome. I think it would be a great win for them with a big hype.
  12. but you could clue it on top of the 2824 if you are using a spacer. thats the way I want to go if I ever get my hands on any white Rolex-1680-flattop-3-open-6+9-working-on-a-2824-movement-date-disc, which apprears harder than I thought. Actually I am unable to find any :-(
  13. Didn´t read this . but as I said: really really nice work!!!
  14. Nicely done!!! If I were you I would only get a smaller crown for total perfection!! Really nice watch...
  15. Thank you for your reply. I did read the discussions about the Yuki rivet, but it wasn´t compared to the NDT one ( right ?) But would a rivet band be correct on a 1680? Doing some research I figured out that the Yuki case only needs to be vintagied, but will not take an ETA because of the stemp highness.
  16. Hi! Actually I wanted to build my Yuki 1680 dial in a MBW case, but now I am not so shure if I am able to drimm the dial, drill the lugholes and shape the CGs. So here is my question: do I have to shape and drill on the Yuki 1680 case or is this quite right?? http://www.yukiwatch.com/catalog/item/6924997/6894682.htm Coming to my next question, I actually wanted to spend money on the bracelet not on the case, so if I go with the Yuki case I have to make some cuts on the bracelet and go with an aftermarket bracelet. Which one is better for a vintage 1680 red, the Yuki or the NDT rivet one?? http://www.yukiwatch.com/catalog/item/6784664/6985249.htm http://ndtradingcorp.com/zen/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=8&products_id=199 They seem quite simular to me, but you guys can spot like 1.000 different mistakes on them both. And the next one: Is there a place, besides the bay, to get used vintage gen bracelets?? would prefer a folded 20mm one... And the last one: If you would go with the Yuki case, which movement would you use (beside a 1570 ;-) ) Do You think a ETA 2824 would be fine?? So thank you for your help and may be some day I am able to see all the small things by myself...
  17. Yes I know, but I already ordered a full MBW 1680 red, gen crown, yuki insert + pearl, clark crystal and don´t want to spend over 200€ for the case. I would prefer spending the money on a nice bracelet, is there any place, beside ebay, to look for it??
  18. I am also not shure if can cut the feed and the diameter... So i am looking for a gen-acepting-case...
  19. Hi! just received this beauty: The only thing I don
  20. I like this price a lot more: http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140382152532&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
  21. yes the hands also look a bit too new, compared with the rest. But... buying it and putting a james bond dial in it would make a nice looking (totally incorrect) watch imo
  22. Hi! I just found something interesting on the bay and I
  23. come on By-Tor this is torture!!! Stop showing me that watch!! I
