  2. Allready ordered a 98$ 5514 from Josh for the case and planing a 3826, a good insert, a Clark Crystal (39 right?) and a yuki dial plus hands... But I thought the PT 1665 and the Josh 5514 are from the same new vintage rep range/firm
  3. crazy! I just thought the other way around... the beveled on #2 is clearly viewable but only 0,3 mm long... On #2 it seems like the bevel is much longer... here another pic of #1
  4. Hi! looking for a Flat Top I found those: #1: #2: What do you think: Gen? Flat Top?
  5. I was just on an ebay auction of 4 gen crystals (2x25-127, 1x T39 domed and another one ) and a gen 5513 insert and missed it by 6
  6. No you mismatched them Ubi, those only work on old cans, not on "Oysters"
  7. would need the 2836 for a 5514 project ;-)
  8. Thank you Ubi, so it is two thumbs up for the pearl from you?
  9. Hi! Actually I am looking for a good insert for a 5513 and I want to try the PMWF Insert with a Ofrei Pearl this time. Is the "Generic Illumines Dot for Bezel Insert" the Ofrei Pearl that you guys mean with "pearl"? Another thing I am wondering about is if the only way to order a PMWF insert is really by email... Thanks for your help!!
  10. hey! if you take the dial and hands from Jo, I would take the 2836 ;-)
  11. Nice! But I thought this one comes only in gold?
  12. I also read a thread from a guy who get this midlinks and repared the 9315 himself, but for 65$ for a repear from M. Young you can
  13. I managed to put the datewheel back on, thank you guys for the help! But then I realized I have to send the whole thing to domenico anyway to have the minute, houre and secund wheel changed... But now I made another step to modding by myself. Also I managed to have the overlay in a nice height by using dialdots. For datewheel overlay ask fxrandy, maybe he still got some.
  14. nice!!! how is the movement? could you show some pics of the back and the valve please?
  15. I replaced the red MBW 1680 with a Yuki 5513 and I also have a Yuki red 1680 to comper. It is not the same league, it isn´t even the same game. You can have my MBW red 1680 dial if you need one...
  16. looked for it for over 2 hours a couple of weeks ago, couldn
  17. NICE!!! Like no stretch at all. Congrats!!!! I just send mine to M. Young to have it unstretched. But it will take 8-10 weeks... Will post pics.
  18. you can get a rep 9411 at many places, take a look at the dealers in the sales corner. or you could start building your own, for example with this basis: http://www.yukiwatch.com/catalog/item/7416898/7816021.htm but you will end up paying 900$ very fast by building your own watch with some gen parts...
  19. sometimes they do, but you can always reshape them if you have the guts ;-)
  20. I think I will take this longterm. Will start with a custom white dial from yuki, which takes till end of next month (which is totally fine for me) During this time I could make up my mind if I want to spend another 600$ for the case and start collecting money. After that I can hunt down the right movement, this is the point I am always confused of, slow beat, fast beat, asian, ETA... Only down side is that I will never change any parts for gen parts, besides maybe the crystal, as those parts are reeeeeeaaaally expensive and actually it would be a shame to buy them and build them in a franken... BTW: 4:1 told
  21. to save more money and start with a better watch right away is also my opinion. but here are my 2 cents : 1. The new MBW doesn
  22. Hi guys. Finally having a bit more time right now, I am looking at fine watches again, fooling around with the watches I got and thinking of getting a new one. So it came that I went to bed yesterday and could not stop thinking of a 5514. (OK I think this already gives the answer about should I or shouldn´t I ) Now I was looking for a good case and a nice dial. As I am a big fan of Yuki I started looking there and found a nice combination: http://www.yukiwatch.com/catalog/item/6924997/7292167.htm http://www.yukiwatch.com/catalog/item/6380817/7628596.htm So now I am thinking: Will this watch make me happy or is the dial just too inaccurate? Should I do the step? Is it already time to go for a grail? Looking forward to your comments ;-) BTW: for all the english-guys: Sorry for kicking you out of the cup later this day
