Interestingly, my friend has a gen PP 5711 and his rotor makes a whirring noise just as loud as the Miyota 9015 in my rep 5711. This a known characteristic of the gen PP movement. So, the noisy 9015 rotor makes it more gen-like. The difference in sound is that the gen has a more refined buzzing while the Miyota has a more "crunchy" buzzing. So, I love this watch except for the hands. The dial is so good compared to the other rep 5711. OP, where are you sourcing hands?
