    16600 Q's

Yes, if you really don't mind the fact that the date will flip backwards every night and you'll have to flip through 30 days with the crown to set it properly every day. I can't imagine why you'd want to do that.
  2. I hope you mean CAN'T...!
  3. OK, you're the boss. I still just can't get over the weirdness of this whole thing.
  4. I did the same math--I wanted to drop in the parts from my BK TWs, but it's just not cost-effective. If I buy a Sean case for just the midcase, and put in a 2892 + the WM9 dial and hands from my TW, I don't really have enough parts left to do a good build on the TW case to sell it.
  5. Does RWG care that he's not an authorized dealer...?
  6. @ pete--try using a 2836 datewheel, it has the "step" and I've found that's enough to get the DWO over the gears. @ Bll--All 2893-2 are "jumping GMT hand" from the factory. You can tell by looking at the GMT hand wheel, you can see the detent spring.
  7. I always take mine off (habit, mostly) but I also always put it in my bag. I never put anything loose in those bins--wallet, phone, ring, watch, keys all go in my laptop bag.
  8. So this is what BK started calling the WM9 v4 case, right?
  9. If the rehaut is a separate piece... that means the wokkiness might be fixable. It could be possible to turn it down on a lathe. Depends on if the dial is large enough to fill the hole that's left.
  10. If you have one currently, the GMT bits can be swapped off of the movement that you have now to a standard 2836. The GMT modded 2836s come with a variety of different hand heights, hand sizes, etc (there's not a whole lot of standardization) so you actually might be better off this way. It depends on what's wrong with it, of course.
  11. The other thing BK has going for him is several years' worth of track record of delivering what he promises and not disappearing with peoples' money. I'm a bit suspicious of this TC Submariner, to be honest. Too many things look identical to the old WM9 watches for my comfort. He has shown a WM9 case before, and the 2678 is the old WM9 v2 movement. Could be he found the guy that bought the old WM9 production, could be a coincidence... or he could be George trying to re-start his business. We'll have to wait and see. Personally, I'd much rather pay a small premium to BK (who I trust) than send $400+ to a new builder who has not yet delivered a single watch. In time that may change, but it's not going to change overnight.
  12. On a Fighters, you have to use a different approach. There are no transfer gears in your watch, the sunken DW is due to an extra plate. You have to remove and modify the plate. Once you do so, you can just glue another datewheel on top of the one that's already in the watch.
  13. 28 gauge wire is about 0.32mm, and 30 gauge wire is just a little bit less. I think 30 gauge wire would work.
  14. I'm with the new guy, and while I'm no Zigmeister I have posted quite a few tutorials over the last couple of years. "This thread is worthless without pics" is actually true, here.
  15. date position and font. That's a standard ETA datewheel.
  16. Sometimes. The 2893-2 has a different stem height, but the same overall size (width). Hand stack height can be a problem sometimes.
  17. They're all the same, there isn't a better quality one (or a good one for that matter).
  18. What's the display back cost?
  19. I have a box full of A7750s that have never been serviced, all of them are running strong, only 2 are newer than a year old. Never had a problem. (I just counted. 9 A7750s. No problems so far.)
  20. No, it really looks like a TW case from the rehaut engraving. The ETASwiss case doesn't have the engraving.
  21. If it didn't have a maxi dial and hands, it wouldn't be an LV, now would it? I guess I don't understand your question.
  22. I'm sending you a wholesaleoutlet bezel assembly, so you can judge the quality for yourself found it in the back of my parts drawer. I switched to a TW, I like it better. To answer the other two questions, the part numbers for the bezels on the modern 16610/16710 are the same, so everything should be the same except the clickspring.
  23. This came out a couple of months ago. I know T4D was selling them.
  24. Nothing's "wrong." The pearl is a weak spot on these models--the gen has a sapphire lens, and the rep does not--but the only decent mod to upgrade is done by DarthAlex, and he doesn't sell them.
  25. Get one of the new 029's. Everyone says it's the best PAM rep ever made, period. Mine is supposed to land tomorrow. I think Toro said he still has them in stock, he can get you one in a few days.
