  1. I hope this is the right sub-forum for this question. About three years ago, someone on this forum gave me the contact info of a jeweler from the east coast. The jeweler sold Omega for well below retail and was an authorized dealer. I am back in the market and would love to give him my business. If you know of this dealer, can you please PM me? Thanks!
  2. Hello! About three years ago, someone on this forum gave me the contact info of a jeweler from the east coast. The jeweler sold Omega for well below retail and was an authorized dealer. 3. Well I looked at the new AquavTerra today and I didn't like it. The textured face looks bad. It reminded me of a Tag.
  4. Thanks for the heads up. Are you talking about this watch? http://www.omegawatches.com/gents/seamaster/aqua-terra-chronometer/23110422106001 If so, it looks like it's running about $3200... Not sure where you saw it for $2300 but please point me in that direction!
  5. Would you pay $1700 for it? Also, does the 8500 come in 42mm?
  6. Hello, I am about to pull the trigger on this watch for close to the listing price and I am looking for some advice. Omega Aqua Terra link 1. Does it look as if this watch is a gen or a rep? 2. Is this watch worth the listing price? Its the 42mm version Thanks!
  7. It looks like Andrew and Josh are both sold out of the Omega. I guess the TAG's win it! Now which one? I just read about a horrible experience an RWG forum member had with their Carrera. Maybe I need to go with the older Link…
  8. By-Tor, which rep do you like best of these 3?
  9. I created a post in the Omega area and thought the TAG lovers may want to help and weigh in. Thanks! http://www.rwgforum.com/topic/124743-which-rep-is-most-accurate-tag-vs-omega/
  10. After a few months of OCD'ing on a watch, I am about to pull the trigger on my first rep. However, I am stuck between the followinw. Which do you feel is the most accurate rep? Thanks! TAG Carrera Date Chrono TAG Link Chrono Omega Speedmaster Automatic Chrono
  11. Does gold movement mean it's not an ETA?
  12. It looks like King has it in stock. THey say it's an ETA. Have any of you purchased from them? http://www.kingwatches.net/OMEGA-128.htm Thanks!
  13. I did this morning. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
  14. Thanks Member X - Looks like that link is for the gray dial...I am looking for the black. Maybe it's not meant to be, eh?
  15. I found another dealer that sells this watch but I have never heard of them. Has anyone purchased from this site? http://www.silix-prime.com/omes082-p-2463.html
  16. I just heard back from Josh and he says they do not make this model anymore. Does anyone know of another dealer that may carry it? I looked through about ten dealer websites and so far it's just Josh and King that list them on their websites...
  17. After reading By-Tor's review of the Aqua Terra, I am a little gun shy on making a purchase. His review mentions that some reps claim to have the ETA 2892 inside but really do not (see below). Has anyone purchased this watch from Josh? If so, does he sell the cheap Chinese version or the true ETA? Also, his description says the diam. is 40mm. Is this not the 42mm version rep? Thanks! "This is visually another excellent Omega rep. But beware: Some dealers can claim that their watches have ETA 2892 inside, but it turned out those were all low-quality Chinese movements. Seagulls, to be exact. While the chronograph ST-19 model has excellent reputation, the movements that are found in the AT and "Closed factory" Bond Seamaster have really poor track records. There is a lot of variation among the trusted dealers on the inscribed words on the clear case back (by the way, the automatic case back should be crystal, not solid). I think I have seen ones in recent pix that have the words "Constel" and "lation" on the back. This obviously is a flaw you want to avoid. Look at the Omega website for detailed pictures of the caseback. Possible issues: Datewheel color should be black on black versions (which isn't always the case with reps). Older versions had problems with the word "Co-Axial" spelled wrong on the face but these should be all corrected now."
  18. Thanks for the info By-Tor but you have to forgive me - what is 'AR'? Have you ever owned a rep Link that wasn't serviced? If so, how long? I really want a gen (bad), just not sure I want to finance the $2100. Thanks again for the fast reply!
  19. 'That is the questions'. You've got to love the topic type-os. I swear Im not from Bombay (or Mumbai if you're into that sort of thing).
  20. I'm sure I won't get any "+1"s for my post but, I thought I would throw it out there anyway. I am really on the fence as to what I should do
