Excellent. Thank you all for your help with the crystal. I will order a T-21 and T-22 and also look into the SternKruz catalog. Is it possible to purchase a 2.5mm case tube for a reasonable price, and if so, where?

My mistake. I meant to say "a 2.90mm tube does not fit the case" I am looking for a tube to fit a 2.5mm case.

Over three years ago I ordered a custom made 1016 from Silix. Installed an ETA 2846 slow beat movement, but haven't got around finishing the project. I am looking for a crown+ tube ,as the older one got damaged and lost. A 2.90mm OD crown does not fit the case. Is there a smaller size available? Are there any differences apart from the movement, between the ETA 2846 Red 1680 Sub from march 2010 and the new 2836-2 based 1680 Red Sub (early 2011)? Is the case construction the same? Do both fit genuine parts? Thank You.

Also, how is the dial lume color compared to the hands? do both shine the same brightness?

What is the best 2836-based Explorer 1016 rep, available out of the box, based mainly on the dial? Thanks.
