Makes sense. I removed the links to the site in my most recent post, but I am unable to remove the links from my previous post.
And PM sent to you correctime.
Yes, and to clarify and provide some direct links, is it:
This ring or this ring?
If one of these rings fits in one of these cases without modification I would be so happy.
Pardon my ignorance, but which one is the Sean case? I was hoping to be able to use one of Raffle's rings in one of the Startime cases. Either this one or this one.
Fidhle007, I completely forgot to get back to you about the movement ring because I got sidetracked with another project that isn't going the way I want, so I'm back to this case. It sounds like Ephry73 fit a 2836 into the $170 Startime case with one of Raffle's movement rings. If this is the case then that would be great.
Another quick question for anyone that might know. Do both of the cases I linked to have drilled lugs?
Well, despite the movement ring it looks like this case will still not work for me. The dial I want to use is 28mm in diameter so if the dial recess is only 27.64mm then it won't fit. And since it's a fairly hard to come by MKII dial I really don't want to file it to fit. So the search continues for the perfect case for my Sub project.
Thanks Fidhle007 for all your help. Good luck with your project.
What is the maximum diameter ring the Star Time case will accept? Raffles Time sells two sizes, 29.25mm and 28.2mm. Would either of these work with little-to-no modification?
I was planning on doing a build using the Star Time 16800 case and a 2836 movement. Which movement rings have you tried? I was hoping one of the one's that Ken (Raffles Time) sells would do the trick.
Thanks for the suggestion, but this is going to be a different kind of project (using a MKII dial and hands) and Andrew's 14060 already has everything I am looking for (120-click bezel, drilled lugs, sapphire crystal), I just need to be sure the dial is going to fit before I commit to buying one.
Would anyone out there happen to know the dial size of Andrew's 14060? More importantly, what is the smallest dial it will accept (without falling through the rehaut)? I know it won't take a gen dial because the diameter is too small, but I'm hoping it will take a 28mm dial. Thanks.
Regards,
Matthew
Either I missed it somewhere in this thread or it wasn't addressed, but does this version accept a gen or aftermarket bezel insert as well as a crystal?
