  1. out of your choices, i'd go with the GMT. The problem with DLC is that although they look stunning in their own rights, they will devalue like crazy, hence the cheap price you are offered, Rolex will not touch them and they are not as versatile as the standard range that Rolex already offers. I think you will identify yourself and bond much better with a untouched gen GMT!
  2. *loud drum roll* for maximum Exposure for the upcoming story ...
  3. Ok we can have a list : - On the dial, the "IWC" font is incorrect. When "IWC" was combined with "International Watch Co", the IWC font looked more like > IWC. Then again the following is a better example : http://www.tz-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=139028&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a - The subdial's circumference is very small in comparison with all vintage IWC models. - The screws at the back are very low quality. - The breaking up of the spelling of "Schaffhausen" is a no-no. IWC would not do that. - No record of a Number 45, even if it was limited edition. - The movement is 100% not IWC manufactured. - You can see the + and - indicator near the mainspring and there is no regulatory tool to change accuracy :S - There has not been an IWC movement with that IWC emblem on it! Tell the seller he can stop lying. If this is a true vintage watch, the starting bid will easily be $500 MINIMUM!
  4. Lol you're right bro, would be nice if we could have some input on the strap size. Fortunately so far, all straps from the rep factories have fit me like a glove but if they are going to invest into proper quality straps, they ought to have more options. I mean they can have this as a side business. $100 here and there for good quality croc rep Pam straps is pretty cool.
  5. I second that Pabler. You are right, if you going for a service, buy a better asian movement while you are at it. Alternatively ask your watchsmith whether he has one in stock.
  6. Apprently the blue tint is more prominent than the H-Factory AR job. Personally i would get it removed.
  7. Yep, a service should definitely fix it. Things like this can happen and it has happened to me too. Good luck
  8. Hi, First of all, the watch is not broken! The watch movement is running very slow and needs adjusting. You can either do this yourself by opening the case back and adjusting the (sorry the proper technical terms are lost in my brain) regulator pin located by the mainspring. But, I advise you not to take my advice above and the best thing to do is to get the movement serviced. The movements are usually very dirty and not oiled correctly. A proper service will allow you to enjoy the watch much more. Btw the 318 is extremely sexy
  9. Cheers ADZ and Joerg, I will certainly be gentle with her when winding and hopefully I will get it this week so that I can write a quick review of it on the weekend.
  10. Congrats SK, it's a stunning watch and you will have some great times with her.
  11. I agree guys, this recent rep Pam revolution is awesome, but what I think really gave this revolution it's super spark is the pricing which is very consumer friendly. I have never heard of people putting themselves on waiting lists with our dealers just get specific Pam models. Great great move! The strap btw is the standard "new" croc strap that the dealers are offering for the 177M. I suppose you can order those perhaps even separately or request a dealer to send one out to you with a Pam purchase.
  12. Oh and the gen looks darker, but that may be the lighting or model year?
  13. Hi All, I just received my QC pics for my 177M. I sat on the fence for a while but I always wanted a Ti Pam so I thought why the heck not. I know some feel that it's insane to pay extra for this watch, but I feel that the extra 100 bucks or so for a gen croc is not too bad. Let the pics do the talking I don't find anything too annoying in terms of inaccuracy on this piece. The strap is gorgeous, no? I have heard people complain about the CG Lever pin being a little too pointy. Seems like mine is ok, but I have found this gen pic as well which does not have a smooth lever pin (that's what it's called right) either. And just a shot of the Gen back. The movement on mine has a different shock absorber and of course we know about the dagger. But again the strap look awesome!
  14. I just ordered the new 177M with croc strap from Miss King who has them in stock today. Not sure about the 005. But I always wanted the 177 anyway.
  15. are you serious? do you also want that line from top to bottom in the middle? to me this is a box standard turtle that you could get from any clothing store. Check maybe one of those hiking stores, they may have those
  16. I wouldn't be surprised if they are still out of stock Mate. These are in hotcake demand!!
  17. ah the 08 model. It looks pretty accurate, I mean if I got it i'd only change the day and date wheels to ETA ones as they will look far more accurate and while I am at it, service the movement for increased accuracy. I do remember this model to be the least fav of the whole CD range. These were sitting in AD windows for months and months.
  18. do you have a link mate?
  19. That 112 looks stunning!
