I don't have a picture, but I have worn a TopGun with a suit before. Just strap on a dark croc and you're good to go. I saw on a gen forum once, a guy showing his TG on a dark blue suede croc (jv style) strap... beautiful!

this is a fantastic write up. truly sums up the rationale for many people here to collect time pieces. it's amazing that it does not matter whether the watch is gen or rep, some of us are just proud of the work we put into acquiring or building a watch. watches, at least mechanical ones, are indeed timeless for me. Mechanical art and human genius.

No problem for asking, I haven't measure it yet, but this is the problem: every time i take a wrist shot, my wrists look like baby wrists. I wear 44mm Pams and in pics the fit looks exactly like the 3717 or this AT. :S I will measure soon

Gimme has hit the nail on this one with the description. We have been blessed with good reps from the factories. Yes, they all need a little nurturing but this community has all the right tools to make 99%ers. It's a good observation about the straps, but luckily getting replacement straps is not hard at all. In fact, I prefer being able to choose your own strap anyway.

It's definitely one of the more comfy watches I have owned. The lume is the standard green, but for some reason It's not as strong as the Pam. Probably because it's 4 years old now. But I don't really need the lume that much. I'll post a lume shot some time.

The dial is black, it's the AR that plays games with the eyes. I love how the double AR can make the dial seem blue from different angles. I have been an IWC fan for quite some time, then went to Panerai with a few reps, bought a gen 000 and somehow just lost that Pam magic. For some reason I was missing this understated elegance of IWC, there is not just an air of magic about IWC but some sort of pride. I have had some fantastic IWC reps, and they were truly amazing, but when you hold and own a gen as well, you really know you have in possession, something truly special. I wanted to post this watch here as opposed to the gen forums because I have come to see real watch fans here who rarely judge or start hissy fits as I have witnessed in another forums. Enough talk: IWC AQUATIMER 3548 with Rubber strap Please excuse my hairy arms , it's not that bad in real life

I second the above. You are better off with the NONWORKING power reserve model as they are so much more accurate. Either go with the stunning white gold look version as per above, or go for the standard black dial 5004 if you prefer that dial. Good luck
