  1. Step #1 (as someone previously mentioned) is Ask the Dealer, but the main reason is to find out who they want you to use when shipping it back. There was an issue on RWI recently when someone sent a watch back but decided to take it upon himself to send it via FedEx. The dealer did not know (I think it was Angus), the member started a thread about "is Angus going to scam me, he says he did not get the watch", but apparently Angus needed to pick it up from the local office yet he had no idea it was there, you see the problem??

See which method the dealer wants you to use when shipping it back. I've shipped back to china 3 times without any problem using usps international priority mail, two of the occasions I sent multiple items back, I declare "broken appliance timer" on the customs form, lol..

    Good luck! ;)

  2. I don't get to publicly address issues where members want to leave based on an event like this but hell, I get to dabble with my opinion over here on RWG. My opinion may sound RWI'ish but it is what it is (my opinion) but if members are threatening to leave over this (not this thread but what it addresses) that would be a sad and silly act on their part. IMO, something has been bothering them more than this because this is silly stuff yet they choose to use this as an excuse to voice their frustration. It is most likely burnout but burnout can be multi-faceted.

I probably care to much which is why comments like this [censored] me off (as an administrator).

But I've been wrong before. Please flame gently :)

  3. I now take back all the bad things I said about super reps. I'm in love with this watch. I have a new TAG Aquaracer on the way that I think I'll just sell it when it arrives because it simply will not compete with this IWC for my wrist time.

I'm still practicing taking decent photos so please be kind  and enjoy my new watch with me. :)

  4. I am guilty of reading the first post of the thread and jumping to the quick reply.

Ahh.. I see now what is going on....

I'll exit stage left and leave this one alone. RWG member politics....

*Bumps*, That's nice!, Great Transaction with blahblah, etc... should end rather quickly for a noob, and if continued simply becomes clutter that the community just does not really want to see (or at least me anyway).

Based on my quote above ^^ it appears that I thinking the same as you and others on this issue.

    almost forgot.. :) and :D

Ok, really though, andreww, I think you are correct in the aspect that people are making posts with very little content.

But, most of the time it is not without purpose. Yes, we will see people (RWI & RWC) who post to get to a minimum post count so they can sell/trade, but.. more common and less tacky are people who are noobs and their intent is to become active in the forum. Most do not know much about replica watches but are trying to become knowledgeable and partaking in discussion is one of the best ways to do this. From an administrative standpoint (because we use post count for selling and we try to look at content) we usually see a progression in intelligent conversation, but.. as we see sometimes.. this may not happen and that IMO is when this becomes a big issue.

*Bumps*, That's nice!, Great Transaction with blahblah, etc... should end rather quickly for a noob, and if continued simply becomes clutter that the community just does not really want to see (or at least me anyway). When I have seen a trend from members like this I have sent a nice but direct pm asking when we would see a watch review or quality content as we are a little heavy with the kind of posts that they are leaving behind. Found some diamonds in the rough as well as asshats with no agends other than to sell (they would create another account once caught padding post counts).

Anyway,, sorry for the long reply in this thread.. just a topic I'm a little familiar with and thought I might offer a different view on it.

  6. When people start paying upwards of $450-$500 for a replica I think you are already setting yourself up for disappointment. Why?? Because your expectation (deep down your hoping) that for $450+ you will receive something that is 200% better (cuz it cost 200% more) than the Omega UPO that you purchased or the...__(fill in)__ that is your favorite $200-$250 watch. It is just not the case unless you purchased something that has been modded.

I find myself agreeing with Neil in saying that a Ferrari or the new Corum is on my radar far quicker than a Cousteau.

I'm trying a Tag Aquaracer blue dial to see if it get's me off. If not, I'm going straight to the Corum.

  7. I purchased my UPO from Trevor. I'm very happy with it, recieved it as described.

I stopped watching the price change after I received mine, he had advertised these at an intro price of $170 or $165 (cant remember) it was back early in the year.

I would be very surprised if you could get this for $200 right now. The prices of these have jumped through the roof.

I went to purchase a black one and (once again) told that the ETA movements have increased in price.

I cant say that I was comfortable with the transaction.. I am still reluctant to do business with him which is why I have not.
