  2. I have held the Stainless Steel version for several customers but thought that it just was not for me.

The wife was not very impressed with the Stainless Steel version either so I passed and continued looking for my next watch.

My supplier told me that the Rose Gold version as well as others would be released and it instantly peaked my interest.

Rose Gold models have never really appealed to me but the thoughts of a BP RG .... I had to try it! :)

I must say that I am very satisfied with the Rose Gold BP. I think I like the gold on black dial more than anything. It is that color combination that I have been looking for. I think the reason this watch does it for me is because there is so much surface area of the dial that the gold markers do not make it look gaudy.

I must find a new strap for this. I think my choice will be a black alligator strap with black stitching as I do not think I will find a Pilot Strap with Gold Rivets.

I have not done any comparisons to the genuine yet, I will do a review when I am feeling better... pretty sick the last couple days.. :( dont have the patience to take some better pictures.

  3. I am lucky enough to have a wife who cares just a little bit about what I spend so much time on..

She contacted Hont and asked him what watch I would like for Christmas,, he said it would be the Black Steel version of the Skyland and so she got it.

Big thanks to Hont for helping my wife and big thanks to her for making my Christmas.

This watch is breathtaking and I must say... I love it! Hope all of you are lucky enough to have a wife who supports your habit! :D

Figured I'd share it with everyone here. I'll have to get some pictures of it out in the snow.. a nice black/white contrast.

Some up close shots here... hope it will help someone needing a closer detailed look..

Thanks for letting me show it off.. :)

  4. These forums are 2-3% of the replica sales.. worldwide..

High End replica watches (we call them super replicas..etc..) are 2-3% of the replicas made..

These forums make up 70-80% of the High End replica sales...

Why do dealers sell these high end replicas if they only make up such a small percent produced and supplies such a small segment of the worlds replica buyers?? SERIOUSLY... ask your self that question!

Answer: BECAUSE THERE IS BIG MONEY IN IT!

Now time to go on a field trip... go look at all of the dealers websites listed here on RWG and elsewhere... tell me if you find junk replicas or are they high end models? Our dealers may sell the junk stuff elsewhere... but the big money... (OUR MONEY) comes from US (not U.S. but rather US = forum). Take the theory that the replica forums are a small percentage of a dealers income and throw it out the window, I know better now...

  5. A quick repost from me on RWI..

Look below and you will see the V2 & V3 Slate dial Breitling Skyland on my wrist..

People who are scared away by the "lume dot" issue.. dont worry and dont hesitate to buy one of these. They are amazing!

I want to note.. even if my photo does not show it.. the "Automatic" is more red in color on the V2 than the V3..

The Bezel on the V3 is more close to the genuine imo.. easily seen when comparing the "5's" in the bezel against the genuine.

  6. The prices of reps would not be high if dealers would stop raping the membership on prices.

The profit dealers make off 1 watch sale ($100+ profit per watch) is equal to 1 months salary on the low end of the scale and 1/3 of a months salary on the high end of the average monthly salary in China.

You will hear "but the cost of replication" "but the cost of the genuine" etc..etc... but a recent project that I'm close to that will be released in 1Q 2009 and uses a far more expensive movement will cost on average of $25 per watch to make with materials purchased for a 5000 unit run.

This project will pay for itself after 358 sales... all sales of the existing 4642 units would be virtual profit. Errors and most likely a shortened run could decrease this 4642 unit production down to 2000.. but as you can see... the makers of this and their middlemen and their cartel will eventually make a huge massive profit.

Add selling clone movements as genuine ETA and taking 200% extra profit..etc.. etc.. and an endless list of white lies they are allowed to get away with and you quickly find that the USD means jack in the whole scheme of things.

  7. As you can see.... the makers of this "FA-Jubilee simply" could not make up their mind as to which model they wanted to make.

In 1993, IWC introduced a limited edition series watch to commemorate the company's 125th anniversary. This watch, The Portuguese Limited Edition Jubilee, is considered one of the most desirable watches for the modern day IWC watch collector (according to TZ).

You can read more about it here: http://www.timezone.com/library/comarticles/comarticles0028

Here is a very classy wallpaper of the Portugese Limited Edition Jubilee: http://watchinghorology.com/2008/09/iwc-po...-rose-gold.html

I find this watch (the genuine) more elegant and appealing to me than the FA Jones model but not sure if I'll keep this hybrid or not.

Seeing that we all like to gawk at photos,, I post these for your viewing pleasure..

  8. Chinese Customs do frequent EMS stations which require some dealers to have someone in the back door who can handle things and give a heads up when postal inspectors are to arrive. This is how 2 dealers who I will leave nameless lost $8K to $10K early this year while their packages were simply gathered up as they came into the EMS offices there in GZ..

People forget that there are customs worries in China as well... it pays to know people on the inside when trafficking these kinds of goods.

Another issue lately is the return of broken watches. Theft of these returned watches is on the rise as these postal workers easily figure out that watches are being returned.. yeah.. they are broken.. but obviously easily fixed there in GZ... I know one dealer who will not accept returns in GZ anymore.. they are mailed to a different city for him just to avoid theft.. It's getting crazy folks.. (but dont hit the panic button... most of these occurrences are far and few between.. these dealers know how to do it obviously and are 99% successful at making it happen for you)

Here is another possibility... Josh just gave you a tracking number.. no package has left because it is not getting mailed.. likely the item is out of stock.. who knows.. not accusing him of it.. just trying to help with possibilities..

Wish you the best.. I know it sucks waiting.. been there myself as most others have too.. :(

  9. Note to Admin/Mod.. not sure if you want this in General Discussion or not.. but it might be a helpful reference tool to keep around if you dont already have it.

This is an updated list through the 3rd Quarter of 2008

I think it is difficult for people to wrap their minds around the many groups who own dozens of popular watches. You dont realize it until you start looking at movements and parts, etc.. and then it starts to become more obvious.

Only the real nerds might find this handy but I have seen a couple questions lately that led to typing this out from watchtime.

One thing that has baffled me after reading who owns who is that I have been told by many people that Wittnauer was made by the same company as Movado... and this simply is not true. ?? Anyone else here that ?? Maybe true at one time?? I dont know ??

  10. I did a group buy of the UPO w/clone movement, sold the every one of the makers black bezels and I wont take any more orders on the orange bezels.

A perfect dial option would certainly be nice. I will have to look into that.

Please do not contact me about this UPO Group Buy, I cannot accept any more orders because there is very little or no stock available (Black Bezels or White Number Dial option).

It was very surprising to me how many people contacted me about receiving their clone movement only to open their supposed ETA movement that they purchased from a certain couple dealers only to find that they had a clone too.. so sad they paid close to or more than $300 when I did the same watch for $175 ...

In all,, the UPO GB sold around 75 pieces, out of the 75 clone movement watches, I have had 1 customer with 1 bad movement. Not bad imo

  11. Here's an interesting picture I took...

I wanted to catch the AR reflection in the black glass table that I shoot on because I thought it would show a saturation of the blue and green hue that I said was present in the AR coating, the black defused the green in the AR and with the incorrect position of my lighting you can see a green AR feathered across the sapphire..
