If James Bond was ever going to shift his allegiance to AP, I'm not totally convinced that this is the watch that would make him do it.......

This is the latest (I guess we should call it V3) version. Impossible to say unless you had V2 & V3 side by side - either way, I think it looks pretty dammed fine.

I've been told it will be available again in a month or so - I can't see why they would stop making it, it's a very popular rep.

Pulled the trigger on a secs at 12 safari yesterday - and woke up this morning to find an email telling me that there are no stocks at the factory. (According to my regular dealer, and confirmed when I tried another!) A bit of a bummer, especially as I had purchased a brand new HKTAN strap to accompany the watch at the same time! This Chinese New Year malarky needs to stop - instead of roaming the streets in papier mache dragons heads our Chinese friends need to concentrate on growing their economy and building me a watch!

How easy is it to fit a gen dial in a secs at 12 rep? I thought the date window was different?

I'm looking for a replacement blue hornback strap to go on a navy themes ROO. The blue hornback strap at AP Bands is way too dark - does anybody know where I can get the right colour (and the right quality)? Thanks

Well, many thanks for all of the helpful and constructive comments. When my new baby arrives, it is going to Uwe for his double AR / cyclops / re-lume work, and then to Domi for the secs at 12 movement upgrade and a full service. (I'm assuming it would be best doing the work in that sequence? Comments appreciated). It's going to add a significant amount of money to the cost of the watch, but hopefully it will be worth it! Maybe I should start saving up and begin thinking about a nice black hornback strap from AP Bands as well..................

I've got a RG RC ROO secs @ 12 winging its way to me, and it's going straight to Francisco when it arrives for the movement upgrade, service and a lume. Question is - do I get the AR done? I know the gen doesn't have any AR, but there are many pics on this forum of watches that have been modded in this way and they look impressive. Dilemma.....

Just ordered this exact watch from Andrew. QC pics arrived earlier today, and the watch is now zooming its way to me via EMS... Am going to have Francisco work his magic on the watch when it arrives, then look forward to enjoying it for many years to come. An earlier posted commented on the quality of the rubber strap - is it nice and soft? My experience of rep rubber on other watches hasn't been great..

The watch looks great - not too sure about the paperwork that came with the box set - it says Crosswind Special!

I'm sure you're spot on with that analysis - we can go a bit overboard sometimes in our quest for perfection! Coincidentally, between my earlier post and this one my Yellow Seawolf has arrived - and I'm absolutely delighted with it. I'd never actually had one on my wrist before - it's a big chunk of watch (and I've got 7.5 inch wrists) but it feels great. I'll post some pics in a new thread when my HK Tan strap arrives to complete the look......

I'm also seriously thinking about buying a Rose Gold Rubberclad. Can anybody tell me if there was ever a gen made with the black dial? Every Rubberclad Rose Gold that I have seen has the grey dial. I can't even find a black dial on the AP website. (If I'm going to buy a rep, it may as well be a rep of something that exists in the gen world!) Many thanks Andy

Whilst CBrendan might not have to service his new UPO for a while, maybe you should consider a service for your keyboard? The exclamation mark key is obviously sticking.
