  1. You have 2 choices and both guys based in Germany - Domi, the best watch modder perform a LWO283 install with CdG finish. - Slaughterer is working on a budget plate for the A7750 with fake gear and screws. He is testing the CdG finish at the moment. The following mods are good; dial plate, Ti screws, AR and no holes clasp. Purchase the watch from Intime, Puretime or Toro
  2. Jordanf1. Nice! That can't be rep lume? Think I gotta save for the black and white dial versions for the set. Hmmmm Rbt1680, the rosegold tv is very nice and also 57th street. sent using my fat thumbs. *rosegold rc sent using my fat thumbs.
  3. re-glue the rubber parts! Someone on the geek did a tutorial where he removed the crown rubber and sanded down the height so it sits more flush inside the crown. use loctite 222 (or low strangth threadlock) on all the screws! Out of box a lot of screws are loose and will drop out! The v1 bezels will fit the V6. Enjoy your nice watch.
  4. Loving the rubberclads!! Orchard road and Gstaad colour combos are a winner for me. My Toro 57th St.
  5. - the 'ring' that surrounds the date window. - the circular rings at the center of the dial. The first few qc pics posted had crooked numerals and badly inserted bezel screws. sahboo / goodfella0406 If you're still after a aftermarket strap, PM Toro for his new hornback straps.
  6. good advice from Jure already. You should start with a superb v1 base watch. Movement mods are not high priority and too many guys starting out focus on this too much. Its nice to have the engraved rotor with ETA bearing but if you can't get one there's always Francisco to consider. Definitely swap the crystal to something thicker. Taka datewheel is also a good upgrade depending which watch you buy. (i think if you have the $700 allblack then its not worth the upgrade). Good watch to start: v1 Tuiga: swap crystal and DW, maybe relume. No mvt mods required as its closed back. Icebang: Crystal, DW, stealth lume. Allblack: Crystal, Marker mod. *DW if wrong colour Black magic: Crystal, DW, relume? additional upgrades like Ti screws and Ti casebacks make it more personal. Here's some of mine... {the one in the center is the v1-lite, *watch to right has rep crystal}
  7. Mary (watchinternational) has the rotor upgrade option. $30 extra and worth it if you're considering other mods.
  8. Sander, drop me a PM. thx

  9. The straps from Jacob are full leather. He doesn't make a gummy croc. I started a project to get custom gummy bands made, but the rep band I sent for size duplication has gone AWOL. I'm now looking for someone to sell me a cheap rubber rep to get this project back on track.
  10. buy a V1 then get your hands on a thick crystal. regulators, rotors and engrave bridges are something you can work on when you find your feet. good v1 pieces to start for most gen-like features: Ice-Bang, All-black, Tuiga, black magics. here's a pic of the thick crystals (TXcollector & Mine)
  11. FYI: Just a update and offering advice to anyone looking to make a thick sapphire crystal. The crystals I made were size 28.85mm X 4.5mm; One of my buyers informs me that the crystal supplied is too loose for his watch. He measured the crystal and confirms it was size 28.85mm dia. There seems to be some variation in the crystal tension ring, so its probably safer to go with 28.90mm X 4.5mm in the future.
  12. both... SOLD *why can't i edit my post?
  13. marinamm20 - Paid. Shipping today. thx
