  1. This might have been covered before but those "swiss 2824-2" i would bet a years wage that not one of them are genuine ! This is not a problem unless you pay extra for it. swiss micro manufacturers are finding it almost impossible to get hold of genuine 2824-2 for say a limited run of 300 since ETA wont sell to you unless you are already under the ETA umbrella, also it is the most copied movement around. knowing this do you really think the asian manufacturers have some magic way of geting a hold of large quantities of gen movements ? What you probably are getting is a Seagull clone of top quality but with ETA markings, dont get me wrong it is a great movement, and in my opinion equal to a standard grade swiss 2824-2. But dont pay swiss prices for something that is a Seagull st2130 with ETA markings
  2. There is no exit watch we all know that ! The addiction never ends, when you do heroin atleast someday you will get that final fix that ends it all, but since watches dont kill you, we will all buy more and more watches. If you are lucky you can sell a watch every now and then. Me i cant stand selling stuff so i acumulate more and more (40 and counting but only 1 rep) But to get ontopic again, a speedy pro wouild be nice and a Sinn UX the dress watch i have not yet decided on. We all need minimum 3 watches Chrono, Diver and Dress that is in my book the minimum req for a mans watch-wardrobe
  3. Out enjoying the nature with the ploprof
  4. Next big thing must be the TUDOR Chrono Heritage ! And in the long run i am predicting smaller watches to come back, might even see a reaperance of the "as thin as possible dresswatch"
  5. Not tungchoy and definatly NOT panerai boutique that bastard sells davidsen parts for more then double the price i bought mine from ebay seller goodcheapman , now thats a friendly name ;-)and he is cheaper then the other 2 here is a link http://cgi.ebay.com/24mm-Stainless-Steel-Watch-Band-mesh-bracelet-buckle-/150467889465?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item230895c939
  6. Well i thought i would share some pics of the ploprof and the great mesh i bought for it. The mesh is a 24 mm wide tapering to 20 so it works with the clasp, and 5 mm thick. most comfortable mesh i have ever tried and for 60$ well worth it (we all know how expensive a gen is) Enough talking here comes the pics in no special order. Here you see the sacrifices i do to get you nice shoots And if you quote this whole picture post without removing the image links you deserve to be burglarised and have your collection stolen !
  7. This is starting to sound interesting, put me on the list for a crystal if they don't get to be to expensive. So far mu ploprof has held up fine. I bought it with the intent to waterproof it and use for freediving, guess that is out of the question now :-( btw am i the only one that could live with a 5mm plexi crystal ? scratches, big deal there is a reason polywatch exists ;-)
