I have 2 watches that need to be serviced and just sent Katt an email as well.  Fingers crossed!  I don't know who else to go to in CONUS. 

Just got my first PAM yesterday.  Sorry for the poor quality phone pic;

I have a Milgauss with a swiss movement that I don't want to throw out after a broken clasp surfaced last night.

How can I get and install a new strap?  I would be fine with a black/grey nato; it doesn't have to be an OEM style band.  Is there someone I would send it to for installation, since I can't go to my local jeweler?

I love Mark Nason stuff...I just wish they sold stuff with a slightly more formal look. Aldos don't last and I don't have many other options for stylish, upscale work shoes. (Pliner comes to mind but they are often a little too long).

I will be in Orlando at the end of February and beginning of March...staying at a golf resort though it's a business convention. Also open to tips as it looks like I have 2 days open before and one day open after the conference for other activities...

Of our executives, several are watch afficionados and most wear standard Rolex fare, with one Ulysse Nardin, one PAM and one Chopard Mille

I had a 944 S2 cabrio, which was very much like the first year 968. It was a nice car, but was slow. A 911 is a better choice IMO, and I would drive a 928 second.

My second child is due for delivery about 5 weeks or so from now.

I love MOP dials, especially black ones. I will bone one probably in the next year, with an ETA movement. I just bought a Milgauss with an ETA and love it, but I know I would like one with MOP better.

I think that watch would be beautiful for a certain occaision/context, which I rarely would find myself in...

OK. Thanks all for your help. My last rep, a Daytona that looked good but stopped after 2 years, didn't have enough power reserve to survive a single night so I would hand wind it and set it every morning. It did strip out in about a year and a half, but it kept running for a full day if I shook it about 20 times backe and forth in the morning.

Under close examination, hand winding in my new Milgauss does incur a very slight clicking so I feel I have confirmed that it is functioning correctly.

Anyone know how much power reserve a standard 2836 should have?

How many shakes should I give it in the morning to wind it? 10? 20?

Regarding the photos; I am often too lazy to shoot in RAW...but it would have helped the color. My Nikon has always had color issues especially with over saturating reds, but when I am shooting for money/seriously I find ways around it.

I am relatively new here and just bought my first watch from this community. The transaction went well; the watch looks great. It was a 2836 movement (28800) from Josh I am told.

I can only aspire to take photos as good as some of the other very skilled board members.

My only question; when I try to wind it, it doesn't sound like gears are engaging; it's just like it's pushing through heavy oil. I am used to it clicking as the thing you spin (for the life of me I can't remember the name of it) is turned. Photos are from my kitchen table with a Rolex passport wallet I have had for a couple of years, and on one of my trophies from road racing motorcycles in Oregon.

beautiful watch. I have been passively considering a Breguet, VC, or A. Lange as a dress watch for a while but was concerned that the 17J movement wasn't that great. I figured a Lemania version would be worth it, but I also didn't know that the gen ops at 21.6K..
