Exactly....the project is on the backburner. Getting a proper case is a real challenge too. If I really wanted, I could just buy a blue dialed sec at 12 and slap on the gen dial, but where's the fun in that?
yeah baby...uuhhh
Thats what I was talking about ... talk the long road to Tipper....
This project needs time, before you sourced all needed parts you probably lost interest in it.
Best of luck finding everything

And one more piece to the puzzle....but have not been able to source a set of hands.

Willing to spend it if I could find gen dial. Any suggestions? Thnx
...I have a gen dial
and a superlumed MBW old case hornbill watch too (sec at 9).
I may be willing to sell

hmmmm...for the skeleton RO's (15305), the SS is $30K and the RG is $45K. There goes any hope of getting one of those babies

Always great to share experiences. I would suggest to loosen the glue first with a hair dryer/heat. The finger nail tip might have worked too.

That is just superb!
Damn!
My ROO wants are getting out of hand!
Thanks for the post...do you have King's current web address?

Finally, one of my favorite AP ROOs is coming...
Looks to be a great rep barring the case material issues.

I think the model offered by Mary is a good base to mod because of the right position of the he valve. But as I already own a limited BOND 007 ref. 2537.80.00 I don't want to go for another blue face watch.
I am considering to buy Mary's closed case SMP to transform it into a 2254.50.00 with black dial. But I don't know if the gen bezel will fit and furthermore I will need a gen dial and hand set which means at least 250 bucks extra.... Probably I better should go for a gen 2254.50.00 because these models will discontinue and surely become nice collector's items
How about a dead on pic of the watch. Mary's pics are slightly slanted.

Love the simplicity of the Millenary Carbon One Tourbillon Chronograph!
nice skeletons of the 15300's...and the diver ROO.
-
Thanks for the review and details about the watch. great pics.
-
Check PAM1A's posts. He darkened the hands and lume on his and it looks awesome as a unique AP ROO.
-
Perhaps its only a removable O-ring on the bezel. The ROO Barrichello doesn't suffer from this problem.
-
I'd definitely buy that strap if it fits on normal ROO's.

Any idea if the gen is also PVD coated Ti?
the gen is blackened Ti, not PVD....which would be resistant to scratches. If only the price were a bit more down to earth...WTF...a sec 9 survivor is less than $430.

@bosk:
the pic you show, are they reps? because if they are all have pretty good He valves, except for the far right and the bottom right watch.
2 are gen

"It may be the correct location, but it all He valves on all SMP's are off including WBK's."
WBK's is nowhere close to where the He valve should be.
Not all SMP are "off".
The SMP shown by watch international seems very good. The He valve seems slightly off but closest gen from what's available now. Those crownguards seem well done too. It has my vote for "best SMP available now." I wish it came with the black dial or red lettering

RXW Time...trusty's sister website... has asian 21J versions in SS that are decent. There is a banner link on trusty's site.

Yes, turn it for 90 degrees... ;-)
sorry for that, really don't KNOW. Can ask my WM on friday.
Cheers, j
NO...the dial is different...subdial spacing. the case is also a bit different since the sec at 12 movement is thicker. U're better off buying a used sec @12.

Keep an eye on eBay occasionally. You can find them a hell of a lot cheaper than that.
I've never seen the red lettered omega dials on the bay. Its fairly easy to find decent old version dials with great lume.

good work. i'm sending my rose gold rubberclad off to The Zigmeister in december for a service and lume. does anyone know if it should be c1 or c3? i originally thought c1, but this post with c3 lume is making me second guess myself. any advice would be appreciated! thanks in advance.
IMO, the white rubberclads looks to definitely have C3 since they're always slightly greenish. I've seen black ones with slightly green tint also but they appear white in many pics ... possibly due to white paint underneath the lume. Gold ones always appear white in the pics (perhaps because there are fewer pics).
U could always ask for a C3/C1 mix.

The majority of the AP ROO reps lack decent lume (referring to the ones that are suppose to have it). Here are some pics of my luming practice on two MBW AP ROOs....done with a C3 mix. Sorry for the dust
IMO, luming yourself or getting it professionally done makes a world of difference for the typical AP rep.
Black Themes
I attempted a slightly more vintage looking lume here since this is the old case bullet rep.
