  1. Hello dear friends!

I want to share some thoughts of mine.

I have been buying reps on forums and with our dealers for some time now!

I have pretty much owned, well all Breitling reps that are "good reps".

After some time I decided to get my first Gen watch. It was two years ago, I was 25 and just got nice job, so I purchased the Seamaster, Bond edition.

Now I had owned several reps at the time, so I thought I would be amazed by the gen watch, right? WRONG!

To be hones I was disapointed of the no different feeling in the watch/material it self.

I had my Seamaster for 2 month, then I sold it.....Maybee I didnt like the Omega?

So this summer I was on vaccation and got my self a super deal on gen Superocean chrono, White dial with blue subdials. The watch is around 2500 $ on ebay, I got it for 1600 $ from a friends father who worn the watch 3 times.....

I had not seen the watch before, but we get a deal and I went to pick it up. I was like a child again. So eagar to see my new watch....

Dont get me wrong now, the watch is really stunning, BUT there is not the difference in quality, steel etc that I think it should. I mean this is watches that new costs near 3500 $ and more...

Now, I purchased the Black Seawolf again from Josh today, as it is in stock again, and I sold mine, stupid as I was.

And to tell u the truth, I will not buy a gen again. I do have money to buy gens, but it is simply NOT worth it. Not for me anyway.

Thats ALL I wanted to share...And for those who say, you buy reps because u dont have money, or ure fake person becasu u have fake watch...well try to buy a good nice rep, and then explain why I should pay that extra $ just to know its a GEN.

ANd belive me. Everybody assume your gen is rep....

There are just some reps that can't be replicated very well.

The Superocean Chrono is one of them - i've had the gen myself and it's the one watch that i really, really, regret selling.

I had the exact same watch as you and it just oozed class - crisp chrono pushers, Pro II quality bracelet.

Im not even going to get the rep so i've got this watch again.....it just wouldn't be as good despite me really wanting it again - i'll just get a gen when im ready and funds allow.

  2. Hi, BK and Joshua asking for more and answer is simple: each of them is a brand in replica world(or you say cartel). I know BK DSSD and does not worth for extra 120$+shipping for only domed pearl (trevor's pearl is almost flat)

There is no significant differences between those 3 seller and I do not see any reason to pay more(this is my 0.02$) Trevor has A+++ communication, no issues at all from beginning to delivery.

My suggestion: check both watches from OWNER REVIEWS. If you can find something significant which will be worth to pay extra $$$ let me know also :)

    Good luck with your purchase.

BK's DSSD has his custom datewheel, correctly aligned rehaut - coronet aligns up with the 12 o'clock - great lume.

It's so much more than just a factory rep.

BK will unsure your 100% happy as well - absolutely superb service.

  3. I've order a DSSD from BK. defo looks like the best option. A friend recommended him for the quality of his work.

I've got a BK DSSD and it's superb!

Lume is good, correct BK datewheel, lined up coronet with the 12 marker, correct 10 spacing.

Everything about this watch is great!

Youve made a good choice my friend.

  4. Steve - Clearly you are a paragon of virtue. Impatience and impetuosity are not. To receive "harsh" words costs nothing. To do your own homework helps you understand exactly what is available, from who and at what price. Being stung is what brought me here - I only have to be taught a lesson once!

Im certainly not a paragon of anything my friend.

Many new members spend months here sitting in the shadows learning from the experience of others'.

It is simply disrespectful to expect someone to answer a question like this.

Many people have spent months and years contributing to build a database so that we can benefit from each other.

If you are keen, you will do as Andy says and do a bit of leg work yourself. All that you need and more is here. You will find the search bar a useful aid.

If you can't be bothered to help yourself, then I don't expect you will find too many interested in helping you.

Not the friendliest of introductions i've seen to a new member of any forum - not just this one, it basically implies "bugger off and look yourself"

If that is the case, why on earth is there a forum? Is it not for discussion and knowledge? This is a 2-way thing between both experienced and non-experienced members alongside reading what is already here.

Not just "lurking" in the background and not getting involved whatsoever......what is the point in that??

Were all of your questions on here of a calibre that implies you knew the answer already?? Of course they weren't!

Did you get the same response from the more knowledgable members that you yourself have given? Probably not!

As for the question being "disrespectful"???

Since when was asking a question disrespectful??

    Unbelievable!

    just my 2p worth.

  5. cheers steve. Yeaa dont worry i didnt take it to heart.

Have you learnt much so far then steve?

I've been a member over RWI forums for over a year so i know a lot more than i did back then.

Basically there are about 10-12 "trusted" dealers that will supply you with good service, communications and more importantly good product.

The key to this is do your research - find out exactly what watch you want and then contact the trusted dealers to see what price they will do it for and to clarify any specific details of the watch you require.

Patience is also the key........these watches are generally coming from the far east so aren't going to be on your door next day.

  6. BOB straps all the way mate, www dot waccex dot de or search "BOB strap" on eBay. If the Emergency takes a 22mm lug width I might have a blue Sharkskin deployant that will make it look a million dollars ;o)

I have been disappointed with all my rep strap purchases, they smell plasticky and feel rubbery, in one case I'm not sure if it's even leather! Plus, instead of wrapping the leather around the side, they instead paint along the side, and some of the glues and paints cause skin irritation!

If you can live without the fancy words underneath the strap, genuine leather substitutes are of a far better quality than the pleather offerings from the dealers IMO.

This is virtually the real deal as regards to the strap - it smells leathery, it feels superb!

Hell, even im convinced it's a gen LOL. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  7. The strap is a rep, it's superb quality and i can't tell between it and a gen quality-wise - only the lettering on the rear and the deployment is lovely and crisp.

I've had gen Bentleys (6.75 and motors) and it is virtually 1:1 - just the batons slightly out to the gen and the crystal moves when the bezel turns (it stays still on the gen).

My best mate has the bronze dial 6.75 and he couldn't tell at all and loved it - he was gutted when i told him it was a rep.

:thumbsupsmileyanim: Very pleased with it's new trousers :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  8. Hi ya fellas,

My s/s Speed bracelet has lost a couple of screws so i decided to buy a black Croc strap with deployment.

I purchased the watch last year and it's been absolutely faultless.

The strap give the watch a totally new toned down classy look.

    What do you think??

Amazing quality - im very please with the look.

Saying that - it'll be going up for sale soon to fund my new piece.
