  1. Everyone keeps referring to this girl as a hooker...she is a call girl, and yes there is a huge difference. They're only hookers once there dead.
  2. congrats, looks great. you are officially addicted...forever
  3. go gmt...the added versatility of the movement is a huge bonus and if rolex releases the coke or pepsi dial for the gmt you could add a new look to the watch.
  4. good review of the dssd, and a fair statement of the dealers involved
  5. I own this watch from Trevor and sport it as my daily. The end links fit accuractly in representation to the gen. The sel's may fall .25-.50 mm short of the bottom part of the bezel as when compared to the gen, but that's being pretty damn picky. Its a fantastic rep especially for the money when compared to the other dssd's being offered. It's a substantial watch and you wont forget you're wearing it (220grams). The 2 imperfections are of course the pearl, and some of the single digit dates and mid-twenty dates are VERY SLIGHTLY misaligned and lay in the upper right hand corner of the date box. 1.) Do yourself a favor and immediately remove the bezel and pearl via heat and secure them with a more significant epoxy. The glue used by the factor is pretty weak and offers an opportunity for loss. Dont get the epoxy down inbetween the rotating bezel and watch frame though...or you will no longer be able to move the bezel. 2) Use the epoxy to seal the HE Valve. Im an idiot and was able to do it. Just remove the case back via a tennis ball with duct tape around it (this was the cheapest way I found)and remove the movement brace. You dont even have to take the movement out. Just leave it in and use a needle or pin to "fill up" the inside of the HEV. Try not to let the epoxy settle out of the HEV hole because it just makes it more difficult to get the movement brace back into place. While you have the back off lube the o-rings, there are two that face each other on the inside of the case back. one is clear and one is the default black. Let the epoxy dry and you have a fully functional dive watch. I took mine swimming for the first time yesterday and its the first rep ive never had an issue with...makes me like my rep even more. I think you'll like the watch and trevors services...he comes highly recommended. \ all the best, wear it well
  6. I opted for the swiss version and its running spot on. Waiting for a case back opener in the mail and will lube the gaskets and seal the hev. The lume is weak, runs hot for a few mins but fades quickly.
  7. Just received a dssd from Trevor and I am very pleased with the transaction, quality, and price. He was quick in his replies to my questions, sent qc pics and offered a quality product. First a few thoughts on the rep. Really the only knocks I have on the watch is the pearl, as expected, and a slightly misaligned date wheel...only noticable to a scrutinizing eye. Other than that the watch is brilliant. A couple of features that are correct, but I believe to be Rolex flaws would be the small crown attached to the topside of the clasp. It is a correct representation on the rep, but this is supposed to be Rolex's "tough work" watch and this small piece just seems to get hung up throughout everyday activities. The second complaint is the thickness and protrusion of the clasp itself. This also has the opportunity to snag on things b/c of its design. But, in its defense I like the small incremental sizing options for the perfect fit. The watch, as noted by other members, is very top heavy and has the propencity to slide around on the wrist if not fitted snuggly. But it is an incredible representation of the deep sea overall and I am very pleased with not only the watch, but my first dealing with Trevor. Here are some pics if I can get them to download... dssd.zipdssdmove2.htm
  8. I scored a '73 red sub, SN#3.7 on ebay. The lister messed the pics up, so when I contacted him via skype to get good pictures he found out I was in Iraq. He had done two tours in Nam, so he ended the auction early and held the watch for me until I came home. The piece is near mint with all the original links to the bracelet, there is some very slight chipping under the 6 o'clock tick marks. But the markers are great cream color and it runs like a champ...and all I had to do was spend 2 years in the desert for the discount.
  9. Dont let the zero post thing run you off, been a member since 2007ish with a different name. Whats the conclusion on the steel used in trevors dssd?
