  1. Upon everyones suggestion, I shot an email off to Josh. Much to my amazement, I got a reply within a couple of minutes. He asked me to send the watch back to him and we would work it out. What a great dealer! I don't get that kind of service with my gens. I know where my future purchases will be! "Rower"
  2. What about the nail polish remover idea? Do you guys think it would work? If I ruin the bezel I have a backup. Thanks. "Rower"
  3. I got my boss a Rolex Sub from Josh. He said in the first few hours that he wore it that the bezel fell off. Instead of waiting to talk with me on how to fix it he decides to super glue it in. Of course the whole bezel is now frozen in place! He returned it to me and wants his money back because the power reserve will not carry it through the night as it sits on his night stand. I was thinking that if I let it sit overnight in some fingernail polish remover that by morning I should be able to move the bezel and possibly remove it and glue it properly with gorilla glue. THe problem that remains is the power reserve. I would normally return it to Josh for this but now that he super gluded the bezel inplace I feel that it would not be fair or honorable to Josh...what does every one suggest. Thank you in advance for any suggestions. He went for the Asian movement against my pleading and wanted the waterproof service. I have $188 into the watch and he wants me to send him at least $150. Being my boss I probably will...but what do I do with this disaster? I will never buy another watch for someone I work with! They just don't get it. The watch looks great...it just has some problems (Kind of reminds me of my dating life!) Thank you in advance for any help.
  4. This one is from Kent Parks at Everest watch works. I actually started with an EBay Alpha (42mm) and had him do this custom dial. The lume is fantastic! The Rolex AD in town is talking about using him for redails.
  5. Great watch! Thank you for sharing. I have bought and sold two of them and would really love to have another. It is a very lightweight slim powerhouse. All the extra funtions are great. No wonder pilots love them.
  6. I have been very impressed with Orbita. I bought a use one on Timezone a couple of years ago and it has been awesome. One of the posts on the cup broke and I thought I would probably have to throw it out. I called Orbita and told them that I bought it used but it had broken. They said they that they always stood behind there products and that they would send me a whole new cup and pillow. No asking for reciepts, no arguing with me, no call center in another country, just pure and simple real customer service. I have to say, Orbita is a but more expensive but they stand behind even a used product. Orbita will always be my winder of choice.
  7. The Original Bond watch...Rolex.
  8. I just got one of his Pepsi bezeled models for $208. How is the $428 one different? I am real pleased with mine. What are the differences?
  9. I have a sinking feeling about this watch!
  10. I was at an AD and the two they had were bi-directional and had very smooth clicks, almost like it was going over 120 small rubber beads.
  11. Does anyone know? With all the experts here I though someone could help me out. THank you in advance for your reply.
  12. I have one gmt rep (Red/Black) that has a very smooth click to the bezel and the other clicks like a cheap replica (Blue/Red). Is there a way to modify the Red/Blue to have that rich click to bezel? Thank you in advance for any assistance, suggestions or comments. Rower
  13. Kent is the best. I have had him do new and antiqued colors of lume and he is the best I have ever seen. I have at least 6 watches with his outstanding work. Highly recommend Kent at Everestwatchworks!
  14. I spent considerable time at an AD today with a GMT with solid end links. I have a few reps with the sel and they don't even come close to the gen. The rep sits a lot higher off of the center link. The gen is very close and smooth to the center link. Has anyone else notice this? Is there a rep that comes closer to the gen? Furthermore, I have one gmt rep that has a very smooth click to the bezel and the other clicks like a cheep replica. Is there a way to modify it to have that rich click to bezel? Thank you in advance for any assistance, suggestions or comments. Steve

  19. If you want a watch to glow all night and then some you need to send it to Kent Parks at Everest Watch Works Everest Watch Works I have had 8-10 watches lumed by him and I am extreamly pleased with the work. Recently he has made this his full time job.
  20. I am not Mark Simmons. I bought this watch from someone that got it from Mark. I don't know what happened to Mark but someone was helping to liquidate his watches for the family and I was fortunate enough to pick this one up. I have since sold the watch to fund other purchases.
  21. Kent is a true artist. I have 6-7 of his watches and know that he is an artist. He even makes dials. Unfortunately, he won't make a rep dial. However, he will relume them. I had the oportunity to meet Kent in person this past summer. What a great man and a great family! The Rolex AD in my town wanted his info to start having him do reluming on gen Rolexes where the owners didn't want to give up their dials. The AD said it was the best work he has ever seen! Well worth the wait and well worth the cost.
  22. Totally modded by Kent Parks from Everest Watchworks
  23. I really enjoyed your commentary as well as the pictures. Well done! I would still love to see pictures of your Rolexes. Yes you see a lot of them, but I never tire of them. Steve
