  1. I recently purchased a Rolex Submariner Blue Ceramic replica from TrustyTijme. This is the one that is supposed to be very close in appearance to the original. I actually bought one of these about a year ago from Andrew and was very happy with it. But I scratched it up and so decided to order another one. The one I recently received was a disappointment. The day (cyclops) wasn't magnified at all, a clear difference from the pictures shown on the TrustyTime website. I contacted TrustyTime and asked to return it, explaining that the day wasn't magnified and differs from their pictures, but they refused. I've purchased several watches from Andrew in the past but this is the last one.

A picture of the watch I received is attached.

What's the point of returning a rep?

They will most likely lose your watch on the way anyway.

    Not worth returning.

  2. I have always wondered whether certain watches on social media are real or fake but have not had a proper place to discuss them other than starting a new thread every single time.

I hope that this thread will be a thread where all such general inquiries can go to.

So: is this rep or gen?

  3. Because it's embarrassing to wear a watch with obvious visual flaws.

I don't like wearing a watch knowing that there are flaws that someone like me can spot from an arm's length.

I also never post pictures of my reps online because of these reasons.

Granted, I would never buy a Franken watch when the gen costs 3000 since the cost of building a good Franken is usually above 2000.

But for something like AP ROOs, spending 3000 to build a Franken doesn't seem totally absurd.

I haven't done it yet but I have spent 500+ on some AP reps just modding and stuff so I guess I'm only half way there.

  4. fuggetabout the gs3. That paddle lever machine is way overpriced. I'd just as well settle for the R58. besides, isn't the gs3 only offered in a plumb in model?

double boiler pid? go for breville 920. hah hhah (actually the 920 is pretty good, despite the name)

    Are you speaking from experience?

I just can't get over the modern look of the gs3. So sexy...
