I recently purchased a Rolex Submariner Blue Ceramic replica from TrustyTijme. This is the one that is supposed to be very close in appearance to the original. I actually bought one of these about a year ago from Andrew and was very happy with it. But I scratched it up and so decided to order another one. The one I recently received was a disappointment. The day (cyclops) wasn't magnified at all, a clear difference from the pictures shown on the TrustyTime website. I contacted TrustyTime and asked to return it, explaining that the day wasn't magnified and differs from their pictures, but they refused. I've purchased several watches from Andrew in the past but this is the last one.

Can you tell me why?

I really think it's a gen based on 3 marker length and the size of the center rings.

Because it's embarrassing to wear a watch with obvious visual flaws.

I don't like wearing a watch knowing that there are flaws that someone like me can spot from an arm's length.

I also never post pictures of my reps online because of these reasons.

Granted, I would never buy a Franken watch when the gen costs 3000 since the cost of building a good Franken is usually above 2000.

But for something like AP ROOs, spending 3000 to build a Franken doesn't seem totally absurd.

I haven't done it yet but I have spent 500+ on some AP reps just modding and stuff so I guess I'm only half way there.

So this isn't out yet?

Haha yeah slayers are awesome but they cost 10k+ for one grouphead.

1) scamming seems like a wrong thing to do. Taking advantage of gullible people in this way seems wrong.

2) it's a lot of fun to call out people, whether it's on forums or eBay. It's also fun to identify reps from small differences. It's a bit of a game, trying to determine authenticity of some good fake watches.
