  1. Or you could sell the dial on Ebay for a massive profit..... Hehe! P.
  2. I tried building one of these but just couldn't get the rep right so i gave up... now i know why. Awesome piece mate.. Cheers P.
  3. Anytime... just remember take it slowly its easy to stuff up a dial. And DON'T use a dremel Cheers P.
  4. (see pic below) On the gen Navitimer dial there is a lip (bottom dial) where the sliderule sits this has to be removed (top dial) so the dial will fit in the rep case and on the rep sliderule .... Hope this helps Cheers P.
  5. Sure does... but its the lip on the gen dial so its pretty easy to judge. Take the lip off and you're done... Cheers P.
  6. two beauties Antoine, wear them well.... Cheers P.
  7. The biggest flaw is that there should be a small gap between the hour markers lume and the minute marker ring. Here's mine although on mine the gap is a little to big... And a gen.... Cheers P.
  8. Interesting, has a lot in common with a V72 maybe an early version and maybe not a Rolex ... Can you give us more info, do you have the case with it and where do you source it...? Cheers P.
  9. Thanks guys! Crown is 7mm and i just got a PM from a great guy who has sorted me a tube. Seems its a 700 twinlock Cheers P.
  10. Yeah its a 1665 case, silly buggers... thought it was too good to be true:thumbdown: don't bother... P.
  11. I Don't know. i brought with a bunch of other vintage crowns... i know the triplock variants but this one i don't have a clue... Cheers P.
  12. Hi all, I just brought a new crown correct for my Tudor MC 7032 but cannot find a tube to fit it. Does anyone know the part number and if an aftermarket one is available. Here are pics for reference.... Thanks! P.
  13. Great watches guys.... here we go, better late than never Cheers P.
  14. Great review thanks for posting.... I think if you build a 6263 with a V72 you gotta go gen bracelet .... They just feel so goddam good to wear. Cheers P.
  15. Beautiful pics of beautiful gens..... Cheers for sharing P.
  16. Looks good, a few mods and a little aging would do no harm... check out the gen below for reference http://cgi.ebay.com/Rolex-5514-COMEX-Submariner-London-papers-FREE-SHIPPING-/300460808461?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item45f4dc190d Cheers P.
  17. Hey DH, well the gen screws in the case and it seems the rep is pressed in so you would have to tap the case but tapping a hole that large would need some specialist tools that's for sure.... But i doubt the 16600 HEV is the same as the Deepsea.. Good luck Cheers P.
  18. And good luck removing the bloody thing... i have tried removing the HEV valve in my SSD... i gave up If anyone has tried successfully please let us know.... Cheers P.
  19. Hi Flex, I received all the parts in Oct 2008 from a member based in Miami, USA but guess its possible in this game. I dunno how accurate it is, not too worried... Yes Micheal has blank bridges engraved and his watchmaker installed it on the V72. The original bridge had JLC engravings... Cheers P.
  20. bezels are not part of the case, they do vary even on the gens... Cheers P.
  21. Hi Importr, i recieved a newer version of the fighters when i ordered a Serie Speciale from Andrew and took it apart to see what would fit. Unfortunately not even a gen dial would go in, the opening is too large. Its only good if you keep it stock, it no good for modding. But at least the dial and slide rule lined up.... I did get an older version off of him after but this was back in Jan/Feb time i believe, not sure if they're still around... Cheers P.
  22. that's not a franken, its a frankenstein...
  23. Rep Helium Escape Valves (at least on the SSD) don't push in either, they push out... Cheers P.
