  1. Great stuff Bytor as usual... I waited a long time for Chris to get the non-engraved version of his Euromariner and he sent me an LV version before going public with them. Then i hear PT's sub is better. Not good i thought but now you have put my mind at ease as its an easy fix. I have the proper crystal and gasket on the way so my ultimate LV will soon be done. Cheers for that P.
  2. Nice one Freddy she's looking good. This looks be toughest project for you so far huh? and you've done some tough ones... P.
  3. Good to know Chief. I got an Ofrei version on the way, lets see how that one holds up... Cheers P.
  4. Hey Freddy, yeah that's what put me off going to him for the hands although i dealt with him once before and it was fine, very speedy in fact. Actually looks like dluddy has come to my rescue so you may see this competed sooner than i thought. As always thanks for your help we all can rely on you for Daytona issues... Cheers P.
  5. Hi Freddy, Since starting this project i've been reading at lot (mostly yours) posts on building a 6263 and seem to remember you saying that Phong's hands were not so good quality and still needed broaching. Is this still true or have they improved? Cheers P.
  6. Hi Guys, all i need to complete my silver dial 6263 project is a handset for a v72. DW is out of them and doesn't know when he will get more in and i cannot find anywhere else. Does anybody have a spare set or know of a source other than DW or Phong. Cheers P.
  7. Hi Marc, First of all thankyou for your comments. The problem with great (perfect) reps is that they would probably make this forum irrelavant (and the dealers bankrupt) If you want "great" you've gotta be prepared to do some work yourself or pay someone to do it. You will find in time here that the members with the most awesome pieces have invested a lot of time building them from what can be found from various sources built up over time. If the perfect rep existed we probably wouldn't be interested anyway. There is no such thing as perfect. This is why this forum exists and why it is such a fantastic place to be if you love small mechanical things. I had never modded a watch before either but you learn if you want to, go on, try it.... You need advice just ask here best regards P.
  8. Nice find Chris and a bargin even if its all rep. Yeah the crown guards are not right for a 7016 particuarly at the rear. Can you tell us the numbers on the movement and the case please... Cheers P.
  9. Hey guys, for me the rehaut looks too deep and the pearl is way off although that doesn't mean its a rep for sure, the insert could have been replaced. Check the rehaut on my gen 7016, much shallower. You need a good look at the movement and case engravings to be sure. Cheers P.
  10. Nice one Tribal thanks for posting these pics. I will have the LV version of the V4 Euromariner in my hands tomorrow and will post some pics soon after. Don't think you can doubt the quality of the watches Chris is sending out along with the service he provides, its second to none... Cheers P.
  11. Hey Frank, congratulations on 1000 and a beautiful gen to go with it... Is the rep the PT version the WM9/Euromariner version?

    v72

Hi there, did a search but could find nothing on how to remove the winding stem of a valjoux 72. Seems it should be useful info so if anyone can give a detailed discription would be much appreciated. Cheers P.

Maybe call Mickey Padge sure he can verify as he sold it as a DW P.
  19. Awesome work Stilty. Its so true the more you put in the more you get out. Who wants to just buy a watch... P.
  20. Hi Freddy, in my experience with (vintage) rollies if indeed that's what you have the answer is no. 0.5mm less means your dial will go straight through the hole. Which watch are you working on? Cheers P.
  21. Well only if someone buys it but the fact they are even asking.... crazy! P.
  22. Hey Bertieng, had a good look at your pics now, no need to change anything, its awesome. Can you tell us about the case you used. Guessing its a Viet but Tribal says it needed work. Cheers P.
  23. Hi Freddy, Bertieng. Unfortunalty Josh's dial will be way too big for this case. Check out this item number on ebay: 150271918826 Its says item has ended but i messaged him and he says he has more dials available. Not sure how they are but you can get him to send you more pics and post for the experts here to look at. Btw great watch Bertieng, getting the parts together for one myself, if its half as good as yours i'll be happy. Cheers P.
