  1. Sander, please contact me if you are still taking on franken AP ROO projects. Thank you

  2. The construction may not be accurate, but side by side, the MBW definitely looks more like the part IMO. I have both the sec@9 and sec@12 and have compared them to a buddy's gen. The sec@9 has more accurate dimensions, better engraving, better polished edges and more accurate looking bezel screws. But I guess it's all a matter of opinion on which is "better" since they are still both just reps.
  3. sander, are you taking any more projects? I can supply all the parts. I just need someone to do the actual build Your PM box is full btw.
  4. Looks like I might need a gen ETA 2892-2 + Dubois-Depraz module. I've been looking but can't find anyone who sells this... anyone know how to find these parts?
  5. Thanks again. I just msged Francisco. Do you know what Domi's username is here? Sanders inbox is full... can't PM him
  6. Thanks Nikki. I dont know if a swap is possible, because just like you mentioned there is a difference in case height. Also, I'm not a huge fan of the sec@12 dials anyway (they look a bit cheap.. especially after seeing the sec@9 dial). I'm thinking of possibly making my sec@9 into a franken by buying a gen dial and ETA movement. I'm just not sure what kind of movement would be necessary to make this work. Does Siesta build AP frankens? Anyone know a watchmaker preferably in the CONUS that could do this? I tried PMing sanders but it appears he isn't taking on any more projects.
  7. I've got a sec@12 also, but the case on the sec@9 is more accurate.
  8. thanks for the quick reply. So it looks like you def need to swap the dial. If I were to use a gen dial, which movement should I use to get the sec@12 functionality?
  9. I have a mbw sec@9 AP ROO and I'm wondering if there is any movement (asian/swiss) that will convert it to a sec@12 without changing the dial or case. Has anyone done this or know someone who could? Thanks!
  10. can the Diver use the same straps as all of the other AP ROOs?
  11. I've been trying to decide myself. Most of the threads talking about the movement issues with sec@12 version seem pretty old and I'm curious to know if the newer batches still have as many issues. Also, I read through Francisco's thread and have been wondering how difficult would it be to have a local shop perform the mods needed to make the sec@12 movement reliable. Anyone have any suggestions?
