Davidsen Is Upgrading The 005/195 Dial - Hold Your Horses!
kkor replied to bklm1234's topic in General Discussion
Ah, thats disappointing regarding the 005/195 dial . Correct font was what I was hoping for. -
Well when I ordered my first rep I showed it to my girlfriend and told her it was fake, and then she wanted a rep! So I ordered a rep for her. I wouldn't try to pass it off as real to someone I knew well, but if it was a first date or something then yeah I'd probably try to pass it off.

Chanel J12 Eta 28xx (white Or Black) Ceramic 38mm
kkor replied to Chronus's topic in General Discussion
My girlfriend wanted this watch badly, but then when she saw the picture of the gen she couldn't get over the difference in the bezel font. Thats the only real noticable difference, everything else is difficult to notice even with side by side pics. -
I am pretty new to this, but I've noticed out of the four orders I've made - three had problems. My first replica showed up perfect. My second order for one watch showed up with a slightly different dial than pictured. In my third order for two watches one of them showed up with a cracked dial. Now in my fourth order, I ordered a IWC GST Ti and Cartier. I got the IWC preserviced, and it showed up with a different date font then any picture of rep or gen I've seen. It looks like maybe the default date font for a 7750 got put on it. Now so far the dealers have provided great customer service and replaced my problem watches, so I have no complaints. And I'm sure the dealer for my GST will fix the problem. But I am wondering have I just had a run of bad luck or are experiences like this common? 3 out of 6 watches I've ordered have had problems. Seems like you have to pay close attention in this hobby .

Ebay Review, How To Spot A Fake Tag Heuer Link..
kkor replied to chrgod's topic in The Tag Heuer Area
Yep, I got the photos from that guide. A member posted gen photos of crown on the regular tag link, and it seems the crown information from that guide is incorrect. -

I'm curious about the port too. I haven't had a problem at the LA port yet. -
Thanks for the info! Good to know.

Davidsen Is Upgrading The 005/195 Dial - Hold Your Horses!

Great news! If he fixes the font I'm ordering the upgraded dial for my 005 as soon as its available. -
Is that the correct crown? I found this on an ebay guide to tag heuer fakes: Gen crown: Rep crown: The crown on the photo looks like the rep crown photo. However I am not sure what the correct crown is for this watch. I suppose I should look at one at an AD

Thanks for the replies. It seems like the rep is really close for the brushed bezel version. The biggest flaw is the crown. The link chrono has this problem too: Gen: Rep:

I was wondering how accurate are the non-chrono Tag Heuer Link reps? They look pretty good to me, but I'm not an expert at this.

I don't understand how knives can be offensive. Yes you can kill people with them, but you can kill people with a lot of other things. A baseball bat makes a much more effective weapon then a knife. Without knives I couldn't prepare my own food, and a good meat slicing knife makes a better weapon then most sports knives. If you ever do any kind of outdoor activities such as camping or hiking then you need a knife for cutting rope and various other practical purposes. A knife can also save your life in a car crash. You can get caught by your seat belt and need a knife to cut it off. I understand opposition to guns since they are designed primarily as a weapon. But knives are primarily a tool.

The reviews definitely help for noobs like me. The first rep I bought was a tag link chrono. I never was that interested in the gen, but being new to reps I wanted a safe choice and that seemed like a good option to me. I think by-tors review along with additional comments led to me buying it. My second watch was a Davidsen 005. I didn't buy it based on a review of the watch, but rather on what seemed like a good consensus opinion of davidsens watches. That was my favorite of the models he was selling. I also like it so much I haven't worn my tag since .

Well good news. Davidsen found a L SWISS L dial for me, so perhaps he can still source them if you specify it.
-
Its a davidsen 005 and I pm'd him, all he has now are T SWISS T dials. From reading other threads I can't figure out if a T SWISS T dial 005 was made, but it would be an older model, and not have AR on the sapphire. Its something I can put up with for now . I'll see if I can get the dial replaced eventually.

Hi everyone, I am looking for some advice. I ordered a PAM 005 from one of our dealers and the watch looks great. However in the example photo the watch had L SWISS L on the dial, but the watch I received has T SWISS T on the dial. Here is a photo of the watch dial below (please click on it): I am wondering was the PAM 005 ever made with a T SWISS T dial? Should I ask for a replacement dial? I haven't contacted the dealer yet.

I read a review of a IWC GST Alarm that said it did not have ar-coating. Similar watxh

Review Of Tag Link Automatic Chronograph 7750

Edit: never mind think I'm wrong -
Has anyone ever gotten aftermarket ar coating added to a sapphire crystal? Do you think a place like this would be able to do it: http://www.thinfilmlabs.com/

Hi I'm New - Question About Bracelet Resizing
kkor replied to kkor's topic in Introduction/Rules/Support
Wow, thanks! -
Hi, I'm new here and have been reading quite a bit. I'm interested in the Tag Heuer Link replicas. I was wondering what tools I would need to resize the bracelet and if its something I could do myself. Thanks!
