  1. Well when I ordered my first rep I showed it to my girlfriend and told her it was fake, and then she wanted a rep! So I ordered a rep for her. I wouldn't try to pass it off as real to someone I knew well, but if it was a first date or something then yeah I'd probably try to pass it off.

  2. I am pretty new to this, but I've noticed out of the four orders I've made - three had problems. My first replica showed up perfect. My second order for one watch showed up with a slightly different dial than pictured. In my third order for two watches one of them showed up with a cracked dial. Now in my fourth order, I ordered a IWC GST Ti and Cartier. I got the IWC preserviced, and it showed up with a different date font then any picture of rep or gen I've seen. It looks like maybe the default date font for a 7750 got put on it.

Now so far the dealers have provided great customer service and replaced my problem watches, so I have no complaints. And I'm sure the dealer for my GST will fix the problem. But I am wondering have I just had a run of bad luck or are experiences like this common? 3 out of 6 watches I've ordered have had problems. Seems like you have to pay close attention in this hobby :).

Is that the correct crown? I found this on an ebay guide to tag heuer fakes:

    Gen crown:

    Rep crown:

The crown on the photo looks like the rep crown photo. However I am not sure what the correct crown is for this watch. I suppose I should look at one at an AD :)

  4. I don't understand how knives can be offensive. Yes you can kill people with them, but you can kill people with a lot of other things. A baseball bat makes a much more effective weapon then a knife. Without knives I couldn't prepare my own food, and a good meat slicing knife makes a better weapon then most sports knives.

If you ever do any kind of outdoor activities such as camping or hiking then you need a knife for cutting rope and various other practical purposes. A knife can also save your life in a car crash. You can get caught by your seat belt and need a knife to cut it off.

I understand opposition to guns since they are designed primarily as a weapon. But knives are primarily a tool.

  5. The reviews definitely help for noobs like me. The first rep I bought was a tag link chrono. I never was that interested in the gen, but being new to reps I wanted a safe choice and that seemed like a good option to me. I think by-tors review along with additional comments led to me buying it.

My second watch was a Davidsen 005. I didn't buy it based on a review of the watch, but rather on what seemed like a good consensus opinion of davidsens watches. That was my favorite of the models he was selling. I also like it so much I haven't worn my tag since :p.

  6. Hi everyone, I am looking for some advice. I ordered a PAM 005 from one of our dealers and the watch looks great. However in the example photo the watch had L SWISS L on the dial, but the watch I received has T SWISS T on the dial. Here is a photo of the watch dial below (please click on it):

I am wondering was the PAM 005 ever made with a T SWISS T dial? Should I ask for a replacement dial? I haven't contacted the dealer yet.
