I am Charles Ginault. I collect fine Swiss made timepieces such as Omega, Panerai, and Rolex watches, nothing fancy but mostly sports models as tool watches. The Ginault Watch Company is newly established in February, 2010, but the idea was initiated way back to 2004. I spent the past 6 years to learn the essence of making fine timepieces and to seek opportunities recruiting talented friends and to buyout small, yet capable watch workshops with only one goal: to build better quality, durability, functionality, and sexy looking fine timepieces for men, women, and for the professionals.

I kept a "Design & Manufacture Log" in hand writing during the 6 years learning and exploring in the mysterious Swiss high horology (haute horlogerie) world. Upon Ginault Watch Company is established, one of my personal mission is to digitally document the log in A Watchmaking Blog. This is and will be an ongoing process as we explore to new projects. You will probably be interested in the making of the Base Module 1 (BM1) - The Discontinued Rolex Submariner Date Sterile Homage Watch and the making of the Mark I (MKI) - Fusion (Combination) of Rolex Yacht-Master & Omega Seamaster.

Full HD, wallpaper sized pictures of Ginault watches are available at Ginault Photo Gallery. You will probably be interested in my friend, Paul Loatman's grand complicated Tourbillon Movement Project and Anthony Magdelaine's comprehensive collections of Rolex Watches Photography.

Ginault Watch Company offer two base module watches currently: the Base Module 1 (bm1), and the Base Module 2 (bm2). Both are sterile, meaning there is no wording on the dial because the designs are inspired by Rolex discontinued watch models. In order to pay homage to the original Rolex design, I decided to go sterile on the dial, crown, and etc. Both watches serve as great open platforms for numerous new exciting and/or classic vintage homage designs.

Our current projects in progress are the Base Module 3 (bm3) and the Mark I (mki). Please read A Watchmaking Blog for the updates.

Ginault Watch Company offer Watch Design Service and Watch Customization/Personalization Service. Details are within Horological Design Service and Customization/Personalization.
