So of you changed to a thinner caseback on the cartel, it would be closer? I thought my cartels caseback look pretty thick.

The insert that came on my LV was olive, just like everyone else's. I Installed an ebay one and the difference is night and day. I also did the epoxy mod on the pearl.

That's a great writeup with stunning pictures! Congrats on finally getting this one done. I know it was a long haul for you. I'm envious of your watch and I'm going to somehow make this happen for me too! I have wanted one of these ever since I first saw one years ago.

I think it is in fact japan earthquake related. Have been able to surf josh's site pretty much ok the last few days. I have however been bumped off from time to time for an hour or so. I have been in email contact with him over a different matter though this week and his response time is very good.
