We need to know what kind of YM - Wm9, TC, cartel etc? and what type of bezel construction? Where did you buy the watch, what kind of money do you have into it? We need to know these things to figure out how to repair it. If its one if the first two I mentioned there are ways to fix it.

flash, Several years ago when I was new to the hobby and Josh was pc8838.com...there was a clone/fake site that was something like pc8838.net. I had been communicating with Josh over a particular watch for a week or so. Once I made up my mind to buy it...in haste i googled for perfect clones... and got the fake site. Really looked like Josh's site... and I had no knowledge of "clone" sites. Farthest thing from my mind. Being my first watch I registered to that site, ordered a watch...(I did notice it had gone down in price 50$ ) When the watch arrived a couple weeks later I emailed josh.... it had the wrong color dial than we had discussed. He emailed me back asking for the order number. After I figured it out, I was embarrassed to admit to josh....but was grateful I did get a watch. They are not all total scams, but you must make sure of who your ordering from.

Truer words were never spoken. I have a friend with a gen YM, and he paid just at 4k for it, and another 900 for service. Your right, why spend this kind of money when you will get seriously beat up if you sell....and more to the point, if you do your research you can buy a good gen 16610 for 3.5-4k. Yeah I know it's not blue with plated gold parts, but a gen is a gen. Vintage makes more sense, and probably easier to sell..even if you part it out.

I think cc33's idea makes sense. I've been looking for a seriously beat up Air King for a long time for a good 1520.

Tom The early ( 5512/13/1680/1665 etc) subs started with 702's from the factory. Later on when serviced in the 80's and forward.... they were replaced with 703's. I don't know exactly when, but at some point they built the last subs with 703's from the factory. Either crown is "accurate". I like the 702's better because they are thinner, and with some cases look a lot better. My 5512 with 702 Same watch but service insert.

That's new news. Last time I checked , he had 700's, not 702's. When did you see this? Btw, I contacted ebay seller jewelerstools yesterday and he told me he had a used and usable 702 tube for 100$
