  2. Case looks MBW-ish and the pearl really looks MBW-ish
  3. Maybe it's more fun this way?? lol
  4. 5514 comex.....thin cased
  5. Still my favorite until my 5512 gets done.
  6. That makes sense. I've always got the pics, but I've always ordered 2-3 watches and always over 200$
  7. Watch ebay daily, I bought a like new 16610 gen insert for 55$ shipped a couple months ago.
  8. Haven't seen a Calypsomatic in a long time!
  9. Ahhh... I was just teasin
  10. Pretty cool! Not to nitpick... you tell a two tone lume story and no pic?
  11. I saw that one for sale Andy! It's a steal! Just the thing to take this watch a whole other level!
  12. The reason he's suggesting getting it fixed local is because it will be alot faster for you. If you ship your watch back it might be a month until you get it back, and then there's the possibility of loss or theft. I would only ship it back if it was something major that couldn't be recitfied by a local watchmaker. Sometimes you get lucky and after you buy a watch from a dealer..you get it in a week. Sometimes though you are not as lucky and it takes three weeks. So if your unlucky both ways sending it back, you might be without your watch over a month.
  13. I think I heard someone say they found UV at Home Depot. Maybe call first?
  14. These newer style dials are starting to grow on me
  15. Happy B day V!
  16. I stopped buying complete watches awhile back. I do see guys buying complete reps and being upset they die or a bracelet breaks. As already been stated these are reps, made in china and not the best quality. Personally I'm amazed they can crank out a clone mechanical movement at such cheap prices. I'm enjoying the hunt much more now. I usually have a few project ideas going and gathering parts for each of them. When I get the final parts for one of those projects..I just bundle it all up and send off to J! Then I sit back and keep looking for more parts. As far as movement problems, I've been lucky I guess. I've killed a couple keyless works but all the rest run well . If I do have a death... I'll find another replacement movement. I am getting better taking these apart and putting them together again. Really enjoying that aspect. The guys on here that service movements amaze me. Hope I can do that some day.
  17. I bought a black insert last year from JO for my 5th gen PO. It was a perfect fit, just snapped in. I wish I could find a gen insert. I missed one on WUS by five minutes last month. The Jo inserts ok, but I'd rather have the gen.
  18. Looks to me there are less teeth, and they are each wider compared to my 42mm 5th gen PO. The second link is for the 42 for me to compare. It just looks like the cut the number and widened them a little.
  19. Normally I'm not a big fan of roman numeral dials, but in this case that watch rocks J! I love the color and the numerals stand out in a good way! Congrats!
  20. I found this clock on Josh's site, it's around 200$. I'm really surprised its steel, usually a thing like this is cheaper plastic
