Sneed,
I am curious about the rehaut. I have a gen 16660 dial going into my SSD and I want to know how much extra dial area you had to work with in order to mill your rehaut straight. Was it just right after milled, or just barely had enough to cover the dial?
Welcome back Diz, the watch looks great!
I'm still not a fan of the crystals profile. Personally I like the service T19's edges, but you could very easily knock off that edge a little to your liking.
As for the Clark round edge T19, the one I had was taller than the service version.
I was a little disappointed to find that out too, but I pressed on with it. Jmb installed a gen insert, gen crown/tube and redrilled the lugholes. It's a pretty nice watch on it's own.
At the time I started that thread I thought mine was gen construction too.
It's sorta similar, and better than paperclip but not like a gen. That's why I said overhead pic.
I don't really want to talk about pearls right now
I lost the last good one...one tiny slip... and gone forever into the deep abyss of the carpet
I've got more on the way though
Nice work ephry!
Really diggin both, Trevor sells a 1665 case with a working Hev?
I worked on my rose this weekend too, I'm almost there
Look forward to seeing these two fine watches finished!
Thats a very unusual watch M..I like it!
My rose is Jmb's decal and I made the insert last night...went too far, at least for this watch...but I have three more inserts ageing in various states
Congrats!
I found myself in a similar situation awhile back, I had no choice but to stop.
I had tried many many times with mild success's but finally was able to do it. 9/28/98
You will not believe, and I truly mean this.... how your life can change for the better!
I don't have much to donate to this discussion, but after buying some gen clasps..I can tell a gen clasp from rep in two seconds.
The hinge pins in the middle are almost 1/4th the size of the our reps. I'll try to take some of my famous cheap loupe taped to my iPhone pics tomorrow. I got a couple more clasps today and noticed the size difference. Today's clasps are both 78360's, one is NOS I got for 68$
