  1. Old case, 7753, Palp crown, Lello datewheel.... nice!
  2. Fish, that's a beauty of a 061 rep! You need to get one of those gen Ti crowns for that bad-boy...
  3. Nice pictures, max! Those really show off the color and texture of his dial. Well done!
  4. This is my most accurate DSN PAM: Palp crown, modded DSN CG, flattened/polished cannon pin.
  5. Nope, based on the crown and CG, this would appear to be the same case set that Angus uses for his Ultimate 111E/001B. So, I would be on the look out for the "thick dial" issue that vaccum pointed out with the Ultimate 111E. Hopefully the factory is using a thin dial and there won't be any issues. *IF*, in fact, this is the same case as Angus' Ultimate. FWIW, the 036 with this crown that Joshua and Ruby used to sell suffered from the same problem. It needed to use thinner than standard rep dials in order to fit the case properly.
  6. No rep AR will look like gen, though. They are all too pronounced/visible. Blue, purple, doesn't matter. Actually, now that I think of it, DSN has crystals with no AR. Getting one of those and having it AR coated would be your best bet. FYI, I don't think there has EVER been a PAM offered with double-AR, and I believe AR wasn't used until D series.
  7. I believe the CG should be brushed and the "Historic"/curved shape of the H series and newer Historic line. The crown is OK, but not great. The logo is a good size, but isn't slanted enough. Low crossbars on the "A"s, like most reps. As good as it gets for a Fiver. DSN's is better in some ways and worse in others. Like with most reps, pick the one that has the flaws you can live with the easiest.
  8. DSN's crystals are the best, but the AR is more noticeable than on the modern gens. The *ideal* would be to have Jakub remove/re-AR one of Davidsen's crystals, but that's a lot of work...
  9. Hmmmm, not a fan of that myself. If you like it, go for it.
  10. Wow. Thanks for the "low-down", Jay. That is some truly great PAM trivia/history.
  11. It's pretty simple, after looking at the pictures of the gen and DSN's new dial, I still think DSN's markers are still a little too pushed towards the center compared to the gen. If you disagree, that's fine. It's all a matter of opinion...
  12. The 82 would get my vote. I had an HBB for a few weeks, it just wasn't "me". Good luck, they're both great reps.
  13. Well, the closer I look at the gen photos, the more I realize that DSN's original dial had the markers pushed a bit too far out to the edges. So, the new dial might be *just* a bit too pushed inwards. When it comes right down to it, there was only 300 made, so any of these difference we're pointing out after STUDYING side by side hi res photos are really splitting hairs. The 082 is still a VERY accurate rep, whether it's the V.1 dial or the V.2 dial. Oh, the gen dials are all engraved and then filled with lume, so a "sausage" or painted rep dial is as close as you're going to get.
  14. Looks like there might be a blemish on that dial....
  15. Black on the gen and black on DSN's watches. Including the seconds hand. Here is a pic of DSN's "old" 82 dial with C1 lume. Notice the difference of the location of the indices?
  16. Yeah, didn't even notice that. Perhaps he had to switch cases due to the shortage of Ti?
  17. The caseback looks correct to me....
  18. Nobody else noticed that the markers are pushed in from the edges too far now? Just like his new 001A and 002A dials? Look at where the vertical marks on the seconds dial line up with the 8 and 10 hour markers.... He *had* updated his original 082 dial to be just C1 bright white lume. This new dial is a step back, IMO.
  19. The logo is a bit too big, but has the correct position and the correct "slant" to the arrows, IMO. Probably the best 005 dial out there. All the others that I've seen have arrows that are far too straight up and down.
  20. The 005 isn't a base. Are you thinking of the 000 instead?
  21. My first rep was a 2893 powered PAM063 that I bought off of eBay while I was searching for a used IWI Marine Diver GMT! LOL It was real sapphire and I got it for $200. I sold it just a month or two later for that same exact $200. I'd pay $600 to have it back....
  22. Good luck. To my knowledge, none of our other dealers have ever offered the 055...
  23. I believe DSN is the only one making an 055 dial, however and his brown dials (036, 061, 055 and 056) are all reported to have a slight "purple" hue to the brown color, FWIW. You could try contacting Joshua or Angus to see if they could source a 118/061 dial for you.
