Thats a gorgeous watch. I want one!

Kansai power baby!
Indeed! Kyoto rocks and I will be spending some time there also. I am glad I asked this question here as it will save me valuable time. Domo Arigato !

Thanks, Osaka is a great city. I love the food there and it is fun to cruise around at night. I appreciate the tip, and have to agree with you that there are great dealers here that are hard to beat.

I live and work in Vegas at Caesars and am constantly in the T shop. This is partly what fuels my watch collcting bug. It is amazing to see how close many of the reps are to the real deal.
-
So you have been there and shopped around?

Tough choice, found myself with the same comparison debate and decided on the new 253 with the 7750 and AR coating. The aesthetics of the watch are just more appealing to me. Now I have to convince my wife to let me buy my second Panerai within two weeks, but that is another matter altogether.

In two weeks I will be going to Japan and although I have been there many times, I have never looked for rep watches there. Now, thanks to this new feeding frenzy called rep collecting I want to ask if anyone has any experience buying reps in Japan? Osaka is the major city I will be close to and would appreciate any suggestions . Thanks.

Ok, That is the funniest thing I have read here so far. Do it again!

They look awesome. I just ordered the black croc strap from Bob for my 232. BOY IS THIS PLACE GREAT!

Rolli,
I just received in the mail the very same watch, It is a great looking Pam, however your work done on the lugs improves it even more. Your watchsmith did a great job. I think the watchsmith I have is pretty good, if I give my 232 to him with photos of what you did, should it be easily done or do I need to supply him with the materials as you suggest?

I asked my dealer about one of these subs and was assured that there would be very little plutonium leakage.

One on the wrist and one in the suitcase. Customs checks prevent me from bringing more

By the way, Paul from WoMart did get back to me and answered all of my emails. It took a week but better late than never. He said that he does not accept Paypal any longer, so cash is the only way to do business with him. I much prefer to use a charge for obvious reasons, so with that thought and the testimonials to Pauls upstanding reputation, I will consider it further

This rep watch collecting addiction is just that, The 232 froim Andrew, who by the way is a stellar human being, is my fourth in just six months, but my first since discovery of RWG. Are we at some point to be standing in front of a group and say "Hello, my name is Hambone and I am a watchaholic" ? Well I for one see no harm in that.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I think it will be an enjoyable, expensive experience.

Great job of turning tragedy into comedy!

My buddy just purchased the Cartier Santos 100 from Andrew at Trusty last week and it is an awesome watch. It is a large, elegant looking timepiece and he was thrilled with his purchase. You will be a happy camper indeed if you get one.

Hello,
First, thank you kindly for the warm reception. What an amiable bunch you all are. On Saturday I ordered
the 232 after much deliberation. The Panerai website lists the 232 as having a brown dial, however their photo appears to be a black dial, which I prefer. Other than that it really looks like a great rep. I may consider having my watchsmith redo the lugs if need be. The job that another member here did on their 249 looked fantastic, so it may be the way to go. In any event......The adventure begins.

Hi there,
Any opinions on Davidsen's new PAM00232? Does this one have the real Swiss SL? What do you think of the strap that is supplied as well (not my main priority though)?

Please let me know, because I want to get a very nice Radiomir soon...
By the way, the gen one can be observed here (only 1938 gen pieces will be sold):

I just purchased the 232 over the weekend and I was curious about the fact that on the Panerai website they list the 232 as a brown dial , yet their photo clearly shows a black dial. Otherwise it appears to be a superb rep. The black dial to me looks better than the brown, that is just my preference, but we will all have to wait and see when the gen 232 is released in a few months to compare. I love the look of this watch and it is my first purchase, (Andrew) , since joining this site.

Hi Rolli,
I just bought a PAM 232 today and noticed your post. Great job. If I bought mine from the same dealer perhaps I can expect the same issue, and thanks to your post, and the fact I have a good watchsmith as well, it appears that the same procedure may be in order. Thanks for the great tip.

Greetings All,
I just signed on recently and am a bit sorry that I did not do so sooner, having purchased replicas from other companies online that seem to charge double what the dealers here are charging.
After reading many posts and communicating with Andrew of Trusty Time, it seems to be the consensus that he is one of the most reputable dealers around and I look forward to doing business with him. I sent several emails to Paul of Womart and have not had one returned. His prices seem to be quite good , however for me customer service is just about as important as the goods purchased.
It is quite thrilling indeed to discover how amazing the quality is of replica watches of late, and Panerai being my favorite, I look forward to a collecting many new great time pieces.
Thanks,
Hambone

I see you are from Finland. My Dad is from Nykarleby and we still have a farm there as well as a beach house. I am there every second summer. Now we are even more off topic
