  1. Somehow when I think diver I don't think LV...
  2. Well I am glad that reps are where they are now... I am definitely looking foward to recieving mine. I am sorry to hear you say that you that this is the hayday as that means it is downhill from somewhere in the near future... I have to wonder if it will be though... maybe it will be cyclical... counerfeiting has always been good business and I somehow don't see it changing... as long as we have capitalism, counterfeiting will have it's appeal. Capitalism drives people to charge a premium, it is also what drives people to make counterfeits (to capitalize on the premium charging gens) and what drives the counterfeiters to make better quality fakes... As quality rises, so does general interest, the fanbase broadens until it becomes passe or grows so big it has to be quashed. It dies an ugly death and is reborn years later when it's no longer hip for whoever does the hammering to hammer on that particular kind of counterfeiting anymore. I don't know... I don't have nearly the experience in rep watches to really talk a lot of talk, but in general that's what I have seen in the world. I hope that reps continue for quite a while and contiue at the quality they are at, but bearing that in mind I won't be holding my wallet quite as tightly for fear of missing out on something I like before it's gone.
  3. Is it just Eddie or customs in Texas in general? Maybe it will take some creative relaying of watches within the US for Texans from now on
  4. That's one of the sales points... besides when does drinking at the bar ever NOT make it harder to tell time? At last now you have a good excuse... "But baby... the 2 light went out on my watch so I thought it was only 10 oclock!"
  5. Shot the tupperware or missed the wife ... Freud would have a field day...
  6. I hope everyone does understand because group buys provide and awesome benefit to the community, and it wouldn't take much to screw them up. In all fairness this GB has been a good deal for Jay on my part because I am now buying 2 more watches from him at the same time (since he has good prices and it will save on shipping and WU fees) so it really worked how a sale should work. I hope the new customers being opened up to silix and EL will rememberit and be encouraged to buy more and support the dealers so these GB become more valuable for the dealers also!
  7. Yeah I have shown a few people my el cheapo Chinese Daytona and they don't notice the major glaring flaws like the day date subdials or the constant running sweep second or anything like that... they always mention that it doesn't sweep as smoothly as a real Rolex... now I have seen a real Rolex and it's pretty darn close... next to each other no doubt about it, but for the average joe that has seen a rolex maybe 5 times in his life there is no way they are discerning the sweep... it's just ingrained to say "it's not as smooth as a real rolex".
  8. So being a WIS involves the same process as becomming a monk?
  9. You should have said "and for our 10th I will get you real breasts"
  10. Try learning on one of these... not nearly as stylish and a bagillion times harder to get used to....
  11. I am no genious at spotting reps but this might help http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...=best+breitling
  12. Looks pretty close... can't spot 28800 from a pic http://www.tagheuer.com/the-collection/lin...=CJF2110.BA0576
  13. I don't know why but the little blue domed cake dishes I find funny.... Nice shop... I wouldn't want to show pictures of my (computer) "shop" in case one of my clients see's and is too scared to let me work on any of their stuff ever again! (Mine looks more like a computer graveyard with a mad scientist corner).
  14. You are right, for the spitfire it looks like the spacing of IWC is a little different but is accentuated by what appears to be a different sized day window also...
  15. I am not planning to drop more parts in... just want to make sure I am putting my money in the best PO... for $25 I would probably want to go with the "more accurate" 42.5 I think...
  16. Nice! I live about 2 blocks from an Ace Hardware! Thanks! Nice! I live about 2 blocks from an Ace Hardware! Thanks!
  17. I hope to God these don't come out anytime soon... I really don't want to know what my bank charges for an overdraft....
  18. I dunno... that just screams rep! I could spot that fake from across the room!
  19. Wow... that's one I didn't think to check I don't get many bad links on his site... slow to load for sure but so far only a few pics that are weird icons or something...
  20. I thought it must be but I wasn't seeing the differences... either that or I was attributing the differences to the size difference in the watch playing optical tricks...
  21. So I am looking at the PO from silix and there is something I must be missing... the 42mm http://www.silix-prime.com/product.asp?id=1318 is there for $150 but the 45 is only $125 http://www.silix-prime.com/product.asp?id=1629 They seem to be the same except for size... so why is the bigger watch $25 less? Thanks for setting me straight...
